Today marks that special day when our Messiah, who gave His life for the sins for all mankind, took it back.

Easter Monday, falling on April 18 this year, is the Christian (public) holiday after Easter Sunday, which is the day when Jesus Christ emerged from the tomb after his crucifixion. Also known as Bright Monday, Renewal Monday, Wet Monday, and the Dyngus Day, there are different and interesting traditions surrounding the Monday that comes immediately after Easter Day. Although the Bible does not instruct the observance of this holiday, many Christian groups — primarily Roman Catholics and Eastern Orthodox, celebrate this day as a legal holiday and part of their cultural tradition.

Here is a moral code that has survived the test of millennia of history. If you choose to follow it, these are the rules for participants. It doesn't work for everyone, but you are welcome to try if you believe it suits your beliefs. Any questions?

Myself, I'm an atheist. I have my own, internal code of conduct. It's not all that different from many organized religions. For those who can accept doctrine on faith, I have no criticism. It is not within me to travel that path, but I bear no animosity toward those who don't require rigorous logic and observation in order to live their lives.

This is the day when a rabbit delivers colored eggs and gets crucified.

At least, that's how we always did it in my house. Never could make much sense of it.
