Just curious, but about how long does it normally take for some-one's profile to get aproved/denied? I understand it can take a while especially with the apparant large increase recently, and then number who don't actually follow-through. It's simply that i've had mine "pending" for about 3-4 months now... Is this normal? Just curious, no rush, I have the patience, just figured that since I'm in the neighborhodd I'd ask.

I have no clue what the norm may be but my approval took three or four days, as I remember. My best guess would be that you've been patiently waiting for a decision that was somehow emailed to an incorrect address, and that Lit is patiently waiting for you to confirm an approval you never received.

It can take days or sometimes months - Laurel has many more important things to do than adding one or two volunteer editors to the list. Being approved is less important than hanging your shingle by picking up some of the writers who post in this forum seeking editors. Sooner or later your profile will be reviewed and you will be an official lit editor, but you can edit dozens of stories in the meantime (and take some of the workload from the rest of us).

Just PM when an author asks for an editor and have a ball.

I am well aware there are far more important things, and as such, I will wait how-ever long it takes. And in the mean-time i have already volunteered very often to help others when they ask for it here.

I waited about nine months for my profile to be approved ... I even tried changing IDs to see if it was something stuck in pending on my old screen name. When I finally did get added to the list, it appeared that it was a mass approval because everyone on the list got bumped.

You're already doing everything you should be... welcome aboard.

thank you, I try to do my best, though I know there are better editors here then myself.

I'd have to disagree with that ... nobody knows how anyone else edits. Different editors mesh with different authors ... everyone has their own style.

yes, kbate ... there are better editors than you. :D

The material has much to do with my poor editing. One can do only so much with prattle.

:emote:

edit: this is directed solely at roguelurker and none of the other writers for whom I edit.

What kind of cake?

Peanut Butter Chocolate Mousse Cake ...

okay ... I lie. There's just a microwavable dinner waiting for me upstairs ... but "Let them eat Lean Cuisine" just doesn't have the same ring to it.

Frozen/cooked lobster.

I only have to heat them and it's almost like fresh.

You should see the rest of this av series. This one is demure.

nah ... PEI lobster is best.

In Newfoundland, the McDonald's restaurants sell a McLobster Sandwich. That always boggles my mind.
