A BIG CONGRATULATIONS GOES TO MISTRESS LYNN FOR EDITOR OF THE YEAR FOR 2008.

Also congrat's to all the other fine editors who help us 'less than good writers' look good.

I'd like to congratulate her as well for a well deserved award. Not to mention all the other editors nominated or not who give up their own time to help us writers become better at our craft.

Congratulations! And thank you to all the unsung editor heros, you all deserve applause.:rose::rose:

Actually, I beg to return the compliment. I am grateful to all the authors over the years who have allowed me to try to help with their writing. Some of the most delightful typos have been in the "raw" versions I have seen.

I still chuckle over when you caught my "pulled her leg out" line! Ouch!

But seriously, I'm not sure what delight you all find in helping by editing erotica work, but I'm very glad you all do.

In my opinion, editing for others makes us better writers, too. Sometimes I learn a thing or two when I'm editing someone.

That being said, congrats to MistressLynn for a well deserved victory. I'm seriously glad there wasn't nearly as much hoopla surrounding the "Most Helpful Editor" award that there was with a few other awards for this contest. :D

Thanks DG, logan, drip, michchick . . . everyone, I appreciate all the support.

I work with some great authors, and I'm honored they allow me to help them, just as snooper said.

drip, I can't speak for the others, but when I edit, they're words first, erotica second.

michchick, I agree on all counts. Editing does make us better writers, picking up those tidbits here and there.

Ditto on the lack of hoopla. ;)

In my case, the ultimate pleasure was when a first-time-trying-to-write author on here accepted my encouragement and went on to publish. He wrote to thank me and I saw a press item about his first book signing!

Now that was a turn-on, knowing I had helped.

I'd just like to say that since I've posted stories on Lit that I've had some of the best editors. Techsan was my first real editor and took me under his wing. It was a sad day when he passed away. I also wanted a womans point of view and asked Lady Cibelle if she would help edit my stories.

She was also editor of the year a couple of years ago and I owe her a lot for the help she has given me. When she took ill and wasn't able to edit as often as she would have liked, I asked Mystress Lynn if she would mind editing for me. She has been doing a wonderful job.

Any success that I have accomplished writing stories, I owe to these three editors. I know I couldn't have done it without them.
With the highest respect
