Editing style

I'm English, and only write and edit stories in English. If you've written a story in American or Australian English and ask me to edit it, I will keep it in American or Australian English. Canadian English I'm not so sure about, so would appreciate any information that may be of use.

In general, I think the Canadian market wants to meld with the U.S. market. I think the differences are more phrasing, colloquialisms, and word usage than grammar, spelling, and punctuation.

There has been a thread on Literotica - Canada from Eh to Zed - I think it was in the BDSM Cafe - that would give you some feel for the way some Canadians think and write. They are sort of a cross between English and US - but I don't want to generalise. I know that, when I read, I look for all sorts of clues that might indicate a Northern bias.

Like the "generalise" spelling.
