Days ago I submitted minor edits to my story. Checked again this a.m. to see if they were accepted and the story updated. Now my page doesn't even list the edited story as pending...matter of fact, the 'pending' function was removed. Any advice on next steps? No administrator or contact person has ever answered one of my emails, so not sure what to do. Thanks.

RVon, I think it means they're looking at it right now, so check back in a couple of hours, it'll be uploaded.

They never answer emails, but are good at PMs.

It can take up to a couple of days, sometimes even longer to get an edit pushed through.

Laurel is the only one working on the stories.

Laurel [who processes the stories] and Manu [who does the Lit site's techie stuff] run Lit are the sole contact persons at Lit. Their email addresses haven't been the way to contact them for years. But both are very good about responding to PMs [Private Messages] sent to them from the forums. Just outline your question/problem, and you should get a quick [day or two] answer.

Wait at least 24 hours before worrying once the "edited" submission vanishes. The edits don't appear on the public side for a while, and if the story/chapter is long, all the pages may not even update at the same time on the public side.

Usually within 24 hours, but sometimes a little more, all the edits you requested should be visible.

With the amount of spam this site most likely gets I think most e-mails get lost. Use the PM function here in the AH. That get answered most of the time if the question is important and polite.

Thanks to all for the advice. Will know better next time. It's updated now.

Thanks for letting us know, sweet thing! Post a link to your submissions in your signature line, so we can just click and go to your stories. We are so la-a-azy.
