Edited Story

I understand that edited stories are the lowest priority, but the FAQ information needs to be updated to reflect that "usually in 48 hours" is no longer the case. Perusing other posts in this forum, I'm seeing where edited stories sit for 3 weeks or more, or get removed entirely. What's up with that?

The same FAQ says stories will be posted in 72 hours. It's all part of the automation process and if you read the other post the failing back end.

Just like new stories get stuck in pending status, edited stories do also. No way to tell from a user standpoint.

I think you're just misreading the FAQ entry on edits. It says "Once approved by moderators, edited stories may take up to 48 hours to appear correctly on the site as story pages are regenerated on a timed schedule."

Story edits have taken between one and four weeks to be approved by admin, and has for as long as I've been here at least. Then once the edit has been approved, the edit disappears from your Pending list and then it can take a day or two for the changes to be visible in the live story page. That is all expected behavior!
