With all the problems people are putting out on the economy I have to post this. MY personal experience
Back in 1998 I placed 500 dollars in my current trading account, and began a form of day trading.. except mine was more Month trading. Each month I would evaluate my stocks and switch them around to whatever I figured would be better.
I played this as a certain type of gambling game
I only changed once a month no more no less
At the height of my record my 500 dollar initial investmant grew to $3723.67
and after all this down play in the market it is now at $2109.83
at its lowest it got to $1319.34
so really even at its lowest ebb I had returned my money almost two times over.
in my eyes I never lost a penny because I only started with 500. and according to the rules of my little "game" Im not allowed to cash out until 2008.
but in any case do you think you could have gotten 4.2 times your money back by just sticking it under the mattress?
