More than a year ago, Literotica began preparing the world for an erotic e-books site, http://www.adult-ebooks.com/. However, this site is still being prepared although I believe that the need for such a site has become much greater in recent months.

This is because of the explosion of PDAs. Who doesn’t have one now? It’s even been the subject of a Doonesbury strip. And what better to take on a long train journey or a business trip, than a selection of e-books to read? Of course, there is still some uncertainty as to which format to package an e-book. There is Acrobat eBook Reader, Microsoft Reader and a plethora of readers for the Palm. Inevitably, I suspect, Microsoft will be dominant in this sector as it is in every other. Partly because the Microsoft Reader is probably the best of the alternatives.

It may be that there have been problems in launching this site, relating perhaps to credit card security and deciding which format to use. But I hope these are resolved and Literotica can put its stamp of quality on a market crying out for its presence. And then those hotel rooms in Denver and Boston needn’t seem quite so deadly dull. :)

I can't live without my PDA, however, I will never read a book on it. The screen's too damn small, the contrast isn't good enough for prolonged reading, and the batteries already cost an arm and a leg.

I'm all for the e-book offerings, but I'd end up reading them on my desktop if at all. I'm an old fashioned girl when it comes to books.

ebooks

I dont have a pda but i think the biggest problem with ebooks is that when you take one to the bathroom and find you are out of paper, you find out how useless an ebook is.
