EAS broadcast test transmission

Denny

Our TV doesn't get turned on till 7PM or later. Turned off by 10PM.
We pay $104 a month for internet and less than six decent TV channels with 50% of that time commercials.
We supposedly have maybe 100 channels but we don't need jewelry, sweepers, new clothes, how to cook garbage, political channels, etc. Plus we don't speak Spanish.

Oh yea, for as long as I can remember both radio and TV have a short emergency test with an ear piecing noise on the first Tuesday of every month. It's sometime in the morning, I think. Unless the world is coming to an end or there's a local tornado in our area.

There are also randomly spaced towers with boat air horns blaring a tornado alert test at about this same time.

hmn, seems last year's test was about 88% successful.

come to think of it, i think it was a fema guy talking from (or about) peurto rica yesterday and saying about the importance of being prepared, at all levels, for national emergencies, from education in schools about having available finances and plans, to the top level government responses.

I think this is probably a good time to make sure everything is up and running properly. ;)

Bzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz THIS IS A TEST. IT'S ONLY A TEST.

But if it's real just bend over, kiss your ass, and wait for Tromp to save us!

And now back to our irregularly scheduled program.

Something on TV?

What, you want me to go buy a TV to watch this shit?

Kaleidoscopes are more informative.
