Earth 3: OOC

Silly. Everything I write with you is me trying desperately to impress you and keep your attention!

I am impressed and attentive but also similarly mutually desperate and sometimes (always) that causes stasis-lock.

But here we are somewhere well-lit and public and I think that'll do nicely as stasis-lock deterrent.

You don't always need to blow stuff up to get people's attention. Though that may come soon enough.

Speaking of which!

(which actually we weren't but I reserve the right to redirect your intent)

...do you think you would post again with Tara getting the hang of her suit at STAR?

I could have Jessi wander by.

By no means should you permit me to impede your or Tara's progress.

We could always have them meet in a flashback?

Have you ever known me to sacrifice story?
I'll hang out. Its a better move.

Could always have the field crash later.

Maybe Vic's Sheeda will do something to wittingly or unwittingly disrupt The Chaos Field and then Tara can cheese it.

Of course, then Jessi and The Flash can have a massive argument about whether they should bring her back...

the attack on the mueseum will actually happen at night during a grand reopening party. So if you want to do what you want to do, by all means do so.

Managed to dig this up out of the archives of an old version of my speedy genderbent Janus, Vic might find this familiar:

Jessi shook her head, summoned up her last reserves of social courage. "For reasons not yet satisfactorily explained, exposure to superluminal energies from beyond the third dimension caused me to exhibit superspeed, while apparently simultaneously causing an alternate persona to emerge to govern that speed. This persona is best described as my 'Jungian dopple,' sharing my history, my memories, but responding to them and to the external universe in exactly the opposite fashion to myself. She's not an evil twin, exactly, she's just the flipside of my coin.

"To put it in a Myers-Briggs sort of codification," Jessi continued, trying desperately not to stumble over her words, "she's ENFP, while I'm more... ISTJ. She's a zesty ball of energy, I... just want things to make sense, or to figure out how they do. She's the one with superspeed, I'm the slow and steady one.

"When I switch 'on' the power,"
she further elucidated, "I 'step back,' and let her take full control, while I remain aware of her actions and sensorium. In the process, the energy that gives her such speed also infuses her hair and eyes, turning them golden. When she switches the power 'off,' the reverse transpires and I go back to being 'in front' while she cools her heels at the back of my brain, so to speak. (Does this make any sense at all? It's kind of a thing.)"

So I think I'm going to go with this guy instead (thanks to some conversations by another member here)

*Points to himself unsurely* I've been gaming for years. I know of Rifts but I don't think I've played.

Unrelated I love how Hawkgirl is played here. So fresh and unique yet completely honors canon in my view.

I neither regret nor apologize for any of this.

Also, the Zane Donovan faceclaim is an act of genius, and your Bibbo is top-notch.

Well-played, Dreams. Well-played.

Thank you. I'm a big fan of Big Blue...so that kind of helps. Also, the face claim came from a fan casting list so I can't take credit for it. I debated on their choice until I saw that photo I used...and was like...THIS IS THE GUY!

You had the good taste to recognize the genius of the notion, even if it wasn't your notion originally.

Seriously, if you haven't seen Niall's character in "Eureka," he's basically Jack Knight except with super-science and modern pop-culture instead of the historical stuff. He wants to be a bad boy rebel rocket scientist, but they're making him be good, the bastards. Zane Donovan and Ted Knight would have had some amazing conversations.
