seems people are fired up enough to get out early and vote, though i've no idea what the areas are like that are being served by the 5(?) early voting venues and how that might reflect on who may be voting for whom.

in a democracy, the more people that vote is a positive.

Wait, I thought all those new voting laws were akshully "voter suppression."

As I can tell you from personal experience, early voting tends to be popular in areas that have a chronic problem with long lines on Election Day itself.

the washington examiner ran with this as 'proof' of 'democrat wailing' and that there's really no voter suppression at work at all! way to spin it for the numpties. in reality, early voter turnout means people are fired up about something/s and mean to get their votes in asap in case election day lines are dreadful and might mean they have to wait umpteenth long or might not even get to vote before the venues close.

It means their votes were not suppressed.

A rise in early voter turn does not mean anything, except a rise in early voter turn out. Trying to equate a rise of numbers of voters turning out to vote ( or a decrease turning out to vote) alone does not contain enough data to make a determination on what effect the change of voter access accomplished.

Or in other words, the number one motivating factor in voter turn out, is issues. You could eliminate all access polls to only one ( or increase it so each voter had his own personal poll to vote at) and still see an increase or decrease in the numbers of voters ( compared to other years) solely on the issues at hand.

But you can argue this amongst yourselves all you want, in my opinion the rise was totally due to issues at hand. If those issue remain, I see it as a bad sign for the Republicans, vs the Democrats.

Except for all those "voter suppression laws" that were supposedly enacted just to keep this from happening.

You REALLY need to work on your narratives.

Keep what from happening? Are you trying to claim that the election issues have nothing to do with voter turn out?

That they have produced a well-deserved backlash from those who can still vote does not in any way mean voter suppression wasn't the intention. And you know it.

What happened to all of the left's accusations of voter suppression in Georgia?

I don't remember Georgia specifically but absolutely nothing has happened to the FACTS of voter suppression.

Isn't it amazing that your view is that the Rights of voters hinge on a bunch of old white men screwing it up and letting those voters... er... vote? And vote in larger numbers than they used to? Without any hindrance?

Maybe, just maybe, it's your view which is really what's screwed up.

It evaporated like a cup of water in the Sinai so like all good progressives with a narrative, they've swapped it out for the new narrative that the increased numbers are a backlash against the laws which supposedly would ensure such a backlash never occurs. You know, the typical muddy thinking liberal kind of story that doesn't make any sense once you get past the fee fees.

The only suppression going on is fraud suppression.

Oh look HisArpy's back, and he is avoiding a whole shit load of replies to his stupidity....*chuckles*
