My man loves the shit out of this stuff, I guess because it's what was on when he was a kid, and I have to admit I actually like that old-timey, hand drawn feel a lot of that stuff had.

My biggest bitch is more the writing than the art. We recently watched through the old He-Man and She-Ra shows, because I was gonna watch the new one and... Jesus Christ it was... not... well written.

But to be fair those are kids shows and a lot of new kids shows aren't well written either. They serve the purpose of getting your kids to be quiet for half an hour. So I don't know that the standards have changed a whole lot. Y'all ever watch Paw Patrol. Because I have and it's not... the best... writing... I'd put them on about the same level.

Like there are some kids shows from every era that are pretty good and some that are just half hour commercials.

But of the 80s shows I've watched with him I think I probably like Transformers the best. It was pretty good.

I actually don't super like a lot of the adult animation, but I see why people do. Like that guy who did Fritz the cat did that other movie about the wizard, and I've watched that like 3 times and I still have no idea what the fuck it is.

Edit: Shit nevermind, I just googled it and I was thinking of "Wizards" and it came out in 1977. Jesus Christ I'm fucking the elderly. I'm gonna ask him if he saw this on a nickelodeon or if he went to the picture show.
