This is a shameless rip-off of Snoop Dog's classical music and opera in movies thread. As circumstance would have it, when I happened upon his thread, I'd just returned from the library with four DVDs selections inspired by our resident cognoscenti of culture and maven of serious literature, music and dance, Perdita--to wit,
So, the question at hand is, have any of you been moved to rent/ borrow/ buy or steal any movies, books theatre tickets etc. by suggestion and/or example of Perdita?
- Romeo and Juliet (The Royal Ballet w/ Rudolf Nureyev and Margot Fonteyn)
- Die Zauberflöte (The Met)
- La Bohème (Zeffirelli -- I hope this doesn't blow like his version of R&J)
- Lakme (The Australian Opera Chorus & The Elizabethan Sydney Orchestra)
