Shaddup, lil lace.

My opinion is that it's a nothing burger.

The guy will plead out to some misdemeanor, pay a couple thou in fines, and skate.

There will not be anything else forthcoming because, despite his impressive track record against organized crime, Durham has zero interest in rocking the political boat that's paying him a shit ton of cash every year.

I agree that that is what will happen but I have zero respect for the judicial industrial complex with the way they protect their own.

Clinesmith also a lawyer and worse, an FBI official, got a slap on the wrist.

Bill Clinton got a slap on the wrist.

Michael Flynn needed a presidential pardon to get out of hell after a perjury trap. Martha Stewart went to jail.

This guy APPROACHED the FBI and materially lied to them to cause both a diversion of resources and the violation of the civil rights of a presidential candidate.

If he skates, any lawyer can get any citizen "investigated" and harassed by the FBI with vague assertions that he is just passing along information from an undisclosed client. He used attorney-client privilege as a shield to obfuscate his intention and to assist his clients illegal aims of siccing the FBI on him for political purposes.

Any lawyer who obstructs justice, interferes with law enforcement or commits perjury should be held to a higher, not lower standard than average citizens. If ignorance is no excuse for the law results in actual jail time for ordinary citizens, lawyers who know better and commit actual crimes with malice aforethought should be buried under jails.

This is why no one trusts lawyers or judges. You look after your own.
