Duped into incest

I recently submitted a story that is somewhat inspired by Much Ado About Nothing. While i was constructing the story I was thinking of all the different scenarios where characters could play a trick on someone by letting them overhear that their sibling is attracted/ in love with them. If the sibling hearing it is shy or uncomfortable talking about incest then they won't directly mention it in conversation. We could see plots like:

Mean girls start a rumor about a girl they don't like.
A joke is played on a college freshman as part of hazing
workplace has a tradition of messing with the new guy
someone with no sibling of their own just really wants to see if they can make incest happen
The person doing the duping doesn't actually know that the two people are siblings
Stepmom says it about stepdaughter to her real father as a way to push her away but it backfires

But I also thought about these:

No duping happens. Sister starts the rumor about herself as a way to break the ice
daughters are referring to another man but father overhears and thinks they're talking about him
sister writes love letter/fb post/ text message to a guy with the same first name as her brother


I don't have the time to turn all of these into stories but I'd be interesting in reading what others here could do with these ideas.

That's actually a damn good idea. Reminds me of a porn I watched. Where a guy convinced his girlfriend to blow him through a glory hole, you know, to try something "new." After he finished, he asked his girlfriend to blow a good buddy of his. She agreed, but unbeknownst to her, his buddy was in fact her brother and the guy orchestrated it as a prank.

Incest is LIT's most popular category and is total fantasyland here, unlinked to Real Life as I show in What Is Incest? Remember, we're only entertainers. I included malicious duping in A Taste of Kumquat where a guy's evil stepsisters trick him into fucking his mother -- she's merely another of the hooded naked women they offer him.

I like the OP's setups -- we can pick any of them, visualize a desired ending, and the story almost writes itself. Do we want the duped fuckers repulsed by their sin, excited by their transgression, relieved that they can finally be open, humiliated by the manipulator(s) and/or audience, anxious to fuck more kin, or what? Is the ending comic, tragic, romantic, orgiastic, ambiguous, or what?

* Humiliation: start with a job or college hazing scenario. The hazers ensure the incest is public. The fuckers are either repulsed or excited.
* Tragedy: likely won't be well-received unless there's some reconciliation and redemption. Twist it into an ambiguous or evolving romance.
* Comedy: a few Scooby-Doo chases; the fuckers pursue each other without knowing exactly with whom they'll be swapping genital juices.
* More comedy: a sly relative sets-up the initial incest... which quickly spins out of control, pulling-in more members of the family.
* Yet more comedy, or maybe humiliation: a Japanese game show (taped long before release) features kinfolk at glory-holes. Banzai!
* Relief: a joker-duper arranges incest for their own amusement. The fuckers have been sexually tense; now they can admit their attraction.

The OP's rumors and misunderstandings scenarios are intriguing. Will they lead to sex? Will reputations be ruined and maybe eventually redeemed? Will those tarred by rumors decide they might as well do it?
