I am currently watching love guru. I don't know why. The line "What did you do to my rooster?" Should have been. "What did you do to my cock???" Just sayin' would have been funnier.

Borat: Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan

Bog what a stupid fucking movie! Not an Ali G fan at all. Fucking stupid!

if you're watching the love guru by choice at this point you really don't have a right to complain.

I was like ten minutes in. The documentary about the world many years from now made me laugh harder

I watched about fifteen-to-twenty minutes of that onscreen while waiting in line at the Virgin Megastore here way back when during its last-days closeout sale and it was risible. Mike Meyers finally blew out his schtick with that turkey. Needless to say, there was a stack of the DVDs that nobody was touching even though they were around $5 or something. Those shits must be landfill material right now.

This movie insulted my intelligence and most of the audience walked out of the theater halfway. The only reason I stayed until the end was because I paid full price and I despise wasting money paid in this city for things I choose to experience more than anything else.

I mean, the minute you see an ancient Greek mosaic with english lettering/words being prominently displayed and used as a teaching aid, I...I...I...

Also Jared Leto and Farrell pussied out on Alexander's bisexuality. You gonna do this epic time period shit with all that money and star power, do it full cylinder. Man, the fucking Aughts was a time period we just had to kinda slug through in order to get better at shit.

Zumi's I heart you right now! I will never watch that movie thanks to you! Plus I always watch things to the end I'm case it gets better

Battlefield Earth

Xenu & Joe Smith both laughed at John Travolta.

Oh, and virtually any porn movie ever made if you're looking for a plot or dialog.

Well, you know what? I encourage you to watch it on a lazy day or night when you have nothing to do for two point five hours and have a fresh bottle of good stuff by your side, along with a good, hot, large pizza pie order. If nothing else, you and present company viewing alongside you can have fun openly clowning it. Trust me, you will laugh at Angelina Jolie's blatantly forced drama histrionics. :D

There was a time period where Hollywood was almost pure "make it with a mix of these current A-list It Actors and it'll sell" + "just use the trope/template formula from a successful movie and put it out there."

In this flick's case, EVERYONE was chasing Gladiator's jet stream fumes for a looooooooong time. The only thing I liked out of Alexander were the battle scenes. And that's not really all that brand new anymore. I have a cynical co-worker who chides, "how many times are we gonna see the rain of flying arrows coming down from the sky in a sword-and-sandal yarn and supposed to be impressed?" He had a point. So many movies have used that as an effect foil and it's supreme tired.

Here's the only good thing that happened out of that era...going through that grind gave a baby-steps rise to better shit that exploited the continuing tech evolution and changing social entertainment mores with the genres, like Game Of Thrones. And now H'wood is chasing GOT's jetstream in doing the same copycat shit.

Shit's never gonna evolve until the ones with the money purses invest in new visions, new ideas, new talent, original scripts instead of copying the same ol' out of fear. It's better now than it was, but then again, it's not really.

Add: To understand better how our modern entertainment media has been treading water on feeding us lazy just-add-water instant noodle bullshit since jump and to identify the very same formulas and templates being used to this day, the website tvtropes.org breaks down ALL the formulas:

Hah! Now you made me download it. I wouldn't have otherwise.

Dumb movies are good, if you get a laugh out of them.

I love B movies but this was an insult. It was Travolta's labor of love. I bought the book to see if maybe if was just the movie, it wasn't. I think I only made it in 4-5 pages. Almost as crazy as wearing special mormon diaper/underwear.

Wonder if those ever show up at Goodwill? Great Halloween costume.

The Lobster with Colin Farrell. Worst movie ever. My date talked me into staying, I got up to leave about 40 minutes in and have regretted that loss of my time ever since.

Dude, where you been? Also, that movie is badfuckingass and I hate you for mentioning it for this list.

I keep *almost* wanting to watch it. Thanks for taking one for the team.

Hollywood revionism of history always irks me. 'Gladiator' sucked due to this. Opening battle and arena fights only thing it has. Probably much like 'Alexander'. Will give 'Alexander' a watch for the battle scenes.

Lots of movies stand on body count and special effects.

Seen worse movies than 'Battlefield Earth'. The book is an interesting sci-fi novel, kinda campy and simplistic. But not too bad. I can't even get halfway through Stephen King books before tossing them aside.

I can't name a dumbest movie ever because I never finished watching them.

a real answer is lucy.

and i kinda liked lucy, but it was really fucking dumb.

Dumbest or worst movie? Still give Borat the nod for dumbest.

I liked Lucy and did not find it dumb. But Luc Besson has much credit with me.

I saw The Accountant over the break. Dumbest ever? Not likely, but dumb enough that I'll suggest that if you have any interest in seeing it, watch John Wick instead. The Accountant is chock full of pointless. And I'm not a Ben Affleck hater, I quite like the man and his projects.

lol....actual pointlessness, not anything to do with you.

Suicide Squad was dumb. MATTA FACT....most projects coming out in the mainstream seem to be trending to dumb. There is an intriguing theory that Hollywood is no longer making movies for viewers in the US. So subtle or clever social reference is out, and in the case of much sci-fi and fantasy anyway, farts are in...since they play globally. I'm not above laughing at a fart....trust me, but variety is the spice of life, and it will take some time for a new school of gifted auteurs to bring to bear globally smart material in cinema. Does anyone agree?

I find I'm always shocked at the level of story telling in modern video games. I've suspected that up and coming talent has been going there for years, and never considers cinema. I'm no gamer, but the talent in storytelling present in some games I've seen makes me sad for cinema.
