what is the caning of the bottom of the feet called?

Daddy used the rod of the crop on the soles of my feet the other day, and for the life of me i can't come up with the proper name for it

yes there is a name for it when it is used for corporal punishment and i used to know it because it was something i swore i would never allow, but i forgot the name and it happened

now i need to figure out the name

See what happens when you forget a name? *chuckle*

So when it happened, was it a bad thing?

it is a bad thing but not as bad as that damn dressage whip was, but i will admit He did take it easy on my feet but not on my ass so that may have something to do with my opinion

Never knew it had a name, interesting every day I learn something new.

So why did you feel so opposed to it?

Francisco.

i really hate my feet touched, and a cane acrossed the arch of my foot is abit more than just your casual touch

if i had nasty leather summer sandal feet it would probably be ok

I've had this done, and it's very frightening, very painful.

But I still liked it.

there's no name for the ACT
A bastinado is a particular type of split-bamboo, water-soaked, re-wrapped cane intended specifically to be used FOR the act, as favored by the Spanish Inquisition
This is a serious form of torture that can, if carried to extreme (which is easier than one might think) lead to the loss of one's feet (depending on the implement used, anyway)

Studying methods of torture (the literal kind) and killing is a hobby of mine, mebbe something else I should list in the "expertise" thread

bastinado is the act also, the term is interchangable

Ah.....transitive inflected means it was adapted as a verb FROM the noun, I didn't realize that it was being used in that manner...form preceded function in this case :D
