Hey, I'm kicking butt in this card game, but I don't know what I'm doing.

I know what these are, I'd be dumb not to:
2 pair
3 of a kind
4 of a kind
5 of a kind

but what makes up a:
straight
flush
full house
straight flush
wild royal flush
4 wilds
royal flush

Or is there some wacky website that will explain it to me in laymans terms?

:D

from www.videopoker.com

Royal Flush -- 10-J-Q-K-A, all in the same suit, such as hearts. But does not have to be in any order to win.
Straight Flush -- a straight all in the same suit, like 3-4-5-6-7, all in clubs
Four of a Kind - four cards of the same value, such as J-J-J-J
Full House - Three of a kind, with a pair, example 4-4-4-A-A
Flush - Any five cards in the same suit, all diamonds
Straight -- Five cards in numbered sequence, 6-7-8-9-10, suit does not matter
Three of a Kind - three cards of the same value
Two Pair -- Two sets of paired cards, as in 7-7 and 9-9

In VideoPoker, you are also awarded if the game is Jacks or Better, meaning that if you have a pair of Jacks (J-J), or others in a higher rank you are a winner.

Wild Cards in a game, such as in Deuces Wild (2), can substitute for any card and make you a winner.

Also, realize that these cards show up jumbled and not in order, and even though the machine may show you are a winner, there may be a strategy of going from a Two Pair to a higher suit structure if there are more coins to be won. Most people overlook the chance to draw to a Flush or a Royal Flush if they are already winners with Jacks or Better.

There's always a wacky Web Site, licky. ;)

This site has perhaps the best "basics" page I've come across. I hope it helps. :)

but what makes up a:
straight 4,5,6.7,8 hightest top card wins if others have straight
flush 5 hearts, or 5 clubs, or 5 diamonds, 5 spades
full house a 2 of a kind with a 3 of a kind, highest three of kind wins
straight flush straight all of one suit hearts, etc
wild royal flush ace, king, queen, jack, ten all one suit, one of which is a two
4 wilds presumably all 4 twos that you would designate as 4 aces
royal flush same as wild royal flush but no wild card used

 to y'all

I'm gonna be a poker junkie as soon as I remember all this ;)

Don't laugh at me.. I had to double check to make sure I wasn't losing it :D

It doesn't make sense when you first look at it, true.. but it's seriously listed in the 'payouts' field.

so :p

I'm thinking 4 of a kind with a duece?

Thank you, so I'm not losing it. I almost went and edited 5 of a kind from my post. :D

;)
