Driving me crazy trying to find a story on medieval fantasy!!
Starting to have a sinking feeling that this story has been deleted. One of the hottest stories I have read on this site and its killing me not to be able to find it.
It consisted of a few chapters dealing with the rise of a dark lord who methodically controlled and defeated adventurers while carving out his kingdom. Started off with a paladin in the first chapter (if I rmb right) and moved on to a female dark lord and finally a group of adventurers sent to beat him.
Key passages I remember include a ziggurat where the female dark lord was subjugated and her nobles forced to become living furniture to eat off of, a rogue trying to organize a defense of a village before falling and a halfling in the party of adventurers betraying the rest to serve the dark lord.
Would appreciate any help directing me to this. Thanks!
