I hate it when people don't like you to pass them on the highway....

Some speed up when you pass, and other's block the passing lane whenever possible...

So, I read these posts... and literally laughed out loud! It happened to me just today! I'm trying to pass this old man on my way to work (he's driving EXACTLY the speed limit). I put my signal on, move to the left, speed up and notice that I'm still at his corner panel! ACk! Needless to say, I never passed him, fussed half way to work and was almost late. Rah... why do people do it? Am I being punished for taking too long to dry my hair in the mornings?

Just a dose of my own medicine I guess...

Hhhmmm...The thought occurred to me that you might be one of those internet users that likes to play on your cell phone computer while driving.

You're not doing that right now, are you?

fuck the turn sgnal. I don't need no stinking turn signal to pass!

the roar of the engine and the wine of the passing gear kicking in let's them know whats going on. by the time they recover and think about blocking me i'm long gone.

and no i have not had a wreck or a ticket in a very, very long time.

ha! I do that sometimes if there's an asshole in the car behind me. I love getting to people.

What if the asshole behind you is a surgeon on his way to a life saving organ transplant for a four year old girl...

Or if the asshole behind you is the father of thatt little girl...

Or someone rushing a loved one to the hospital...

Or someone late for their childs first school play, etc...

I can't see playing with people that way when you imagine the possibilities...

Ohhhhhhhh..... that was you???

I agree. I let them pass. I don't know their situation... besides, I have better things to worry about. :)

I will try to get out of the way if someone is behind me riding my bumper, but in heavy traffic it isn't always possible. I always wonder where those people think I will move to- tailgating me won't make an opening appear in the traffic flow.

I am not driving slow, either. I am usually 10 mph over on the expressway.

Maintain a good following distance, always signal, and be curteous at all times. That's how I drive. But don't cut me off, or tail gate, or drive slow in the fast lane. Then I get nasty.

Tailgating shouldn't be necessary...when there is a passing lane, you should pass and then get back over...

Tailgating is wrong, although I'm guilty of it at times...I usually accept the return aggression when I provoke it...we can be predictable at times...

most of the time, it's a kid who's driving, and they drive to show off. Don't you think they would honk their horn or something?

It may be wrong

But I turn my emergency flashers on to get people out of my way. Most people will respond to that.. I know I do.

Ah, but you're assuming they are tailgating only in the left lane! I've been tailgated in the center lane, and even in the right lane! If all three lanes are "full" some people go back and forth trying to find away around. I don't know where they hell they think they are going when the traffic ahead is that heavy.

I agree...I hate those little pricks...They have little worthless cars and put the most assenine (sp?) accessories on them...ontop of that, they play music with the sole purpose of making impressions on other people.

And what Cheyenne said is so true...when traffic is that backed up, everyone needs to settle down and move at a steady pace...

aaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

There, all better...

What ticks me off is when the person behind you rides your ass, honking thier horn, and flipping you off when you can't help the wway you are driving. Like if you are behind someone being slow, and can't pass. it's not your fault, but yet, the instant that guy can pass, you are the one he is flipping off.

I say next time we see this asshole, that we take away his fingers, toes, and any other appendage he might have hanging off.

Gilly Bean

I say we dip his wang in honey and let the cat lick it off...

Better yet, dip it in honey, and tie him to an ant hill.
