It might be a bit helpful to describe your usual manner of dressing so that people have an idea of what sort of foundation you're working with, and then add from there.
For example: my standard "uniform", if you will, is jeans, a tshirt and sneakers/runners of some sort. I'm a stay at home mom who does all of her own housekeeping, chores, errands, etc, so it isn't practical for me to don fancy dancy clothing on a daily basis.
That said, when I'm meeting up with a friend for lunch, or heading to a parent/teacher conference, I might throw on a cute cardigan over the t-shirt, add a coordinating belt, and switch out the sneakers for leopard flats (hush, Rainshine, I hear you mumbling back there!), or mid high wedges. I usually wear at least a neutral shadow and a lip gloss, but depending on what else I add to my standard wear, I might freshen it up, or add to the depth of color I've got on. And of course, I always run a brush through my hair to make sure it's neat and presentable.
I may or may not switch out or add to the jewelry I've already got on. A lot of that depends on what sort of decorative details are on the clothing I'm already sporting.
Not sure if those ideas help you or not, but you've given precious little to go on. If you give more specifics, we're more likely to be able to give more on target help.
