Dress code

I still wanna do at least some of the demos in the back room/dungeon. Either that, or I get a great salary and a substantial profit-sharing agreement. Plus stock options and a golden parachute (no, that's not related to golden showers!).

What do you think the inventory specialist does? Someone has to make sure this stuff works. The French Girl and I can try it out, but you get first crack of the whip at the customers.

Works for me :D :nana:

So where do we do this utopian venture?

It matters where? Utopia, by definition, is the perfect place to be - so wherever we create it will be perfect.

As long as it's not too cold. :p Extreme cold reduces the mobility of my hands, creating control issues - wouldn't want to inadvertently injure a customer, you know.

I nominate Hawaii as the location for this outstanding venture. :D Just let me know when to start looking around for a suitable building. :nana:

Which part of Hawaii? Which island?

Well, I currently live on Oahu (though I'm originally from Maui, which is the BEST island overall) (yes, I'm biased, so sue me :D ) and it has the highest population density, so it's probably the best choice. More people = more money (and more fun!)

Let's see . . . food, books, and sex toys. Three of my favorite things! Plus, Sir W and sexy clothes! I'll come!

Oh, and I say it should be in Oregon. Oregon is paradise.

The picture below was taken in August!:nana:

Well, I've been to Oregon and agree that the northwest is beautiful. So if not Hawaii, I second Oregon.

Just not anywhere too cold. Sorry AS, that means Alaska is out! :p

But it is a Paradise here! especially now. The highs are around 72, the sun is still up at 10 and staying about seven minutes longer every day, and green up was yesterday, so the winter is long forgotten.

how about Alaska from May to October, Maui from November to April?

We can have more than one establishment! Spread the joy in all the states! Marquis and Killishandra can manage the Maui one. Then Graceanne and Sir Winston Oregon and then AS and me Alaska.

Everyone is happy, everyone has coffee, books, pastries and lingerie. Plus Sir Winston can be a traveling teacher teaching everyone about his scary but wonderful ways.

Now we need a name....i thought of the Panty Pantry, which made the French Girl spew tea. Paperbacks Pastries and Panties? Hardbacks, Soft Buns, and Silky Robes?

any ideas?

The Marketplace

Motto: One place to feed your hungers.

I like that motto, but I think we should apply it to the "Hardbacks, Soft Buns, and Silky Robes" name. :)

I like the concept of that, but it seems a little long... can we condense it to something a little shorter, like "Books, Buns and Boudoir?"

You and your alliterations.... I like it. :D

That works for me! Treats for your head, your heart and your other hungers.

LOL - I like alliterations. They seem to be more memorable than many names...

I wonder, though, if "Bed, Bath & Beyond" might try to sue us for trademark infringement? Just thought of that... the rhythm and the initial letter(s) match up w/ their name. I can't think of any way people might confuse us for them, though.

I think we should be safe on this one...but there was a used bookstore/coffee shop in Chapel Hill called the Hardback Cafe, which was successfully sued by the Hardrock Cafe for name infringement.

Sounds like a shopping list for the French Quarter.

That reminds me......Hawaii, Oregon, and Alaska....what about the poor needy souls in the deep south. I never get to have any fun! stamps foot and goes to pout in the corner
