Have you tried a German stuff called "Pott" ?.
Warning. Do not try it neat. It can work very well with Black current jam.

Some years back, I attended a retirement party for a guy that I had worked with. Etiquette demanded thsat I ingest five beers. The idiot who got the supplies got 16 ounce plastic cups, instead of the usual 12 ouncers. The party was at the beach, where I then lived. I staggered home and, after a not very brief stop at the toilet, I went out in the beach to run off some of the beer. I started down the beach at what I thought was my normal effort. I found that I was flying past people like they were standing still. I got to the jetty, at the far end and started back, still flying. With maybe a quarter mile to go, the effort caught up with me and I had to force myself through the final yards. When I got home and ingested maybe a liter of water, I smelled like a beer, but I was stone, cold sober and no hangover the next day.

Many years ago my then employers used to have an office Christmas Party for the senior staff at which a Board Member of the very large company would attend.
(The other staff had a fun Office Christmas Party to which family members including children were invited, with children's games, a ride-on steam train going around the internal corridors of the factory...)
The Senior Party was usually fairly formal but we had a reputation for good food and drink prepared by the large chemistry department.
But one year things went wrong. The Head of Department had retired and had been replaced by his popular Deputy, a convival man but a teetotal Methodist. He didn't object to anyone else drinking alcohol. He just didn't drink.
That would not have been a problem except that his Secretary, who would be dispensing the alcohol, was also a teetotaller. She was a resting actress who was used to drinking colleagues but she had found she didn't like alcohol.
The Head of Department had an allowance for 'entertainment' and it was drastically underspent so he sent his Secretary out to a recommended off-licence to buy several hundred pounds-worth of alcohol, not including beer that would be provided by the chemist's own brews.
The Chief Chemist's home brew that year was lethal. One of his friends was the Chief Chemist of a large London Brewery and between them they had recreated an 18th Century recipe for Porter - a strong thick beer for manual workers. It was very high in alcoholic content but deceptively smooth. They produced 50 imperial gallons of it.
Those who arrived at the party were offered the Porter or shorts such as Gin, Vodka, Scotch etc. Those who choose Porter usually had more than one pint. Why not? It seemed innocuous and there were 50 gallons - for 35 attendees.
The Secretary had no idea of what the measure for a 'short' should be so most were given a half-pint of Black Label Johnny Walker, or Plymouth Gin...
The Board Member chose to start with a Gin and Tonic - a pint glass with 1/4 tonic. He followed it with three pints of Porter.
We carried him to his next appointment...
Most of the other attendees had to be poured into Taxis.

It's so good for my brain.
And so is that avatar!
Beer? Oh, yes! It was hot again today and so we had a taco salad which is both quick to make and cooling. I washed it down with a Stone IPA and am considering a double shot of Woodleigh's Reserve for dessert . . . there being no sugar free chocolate in the den.
