I would never claim to be an artist, but something that gives me a lot of pleasure is to draw. I used to do it a lot as a child then kind of lost it along the way. Last year when I began to keep a journal, I bought some color pencils so that if I did not feel like writing, I could draw.

I started my second journal in December.

I thought I would share some of my drawings with you, humble as they may be.

The image here is simply a title page.

Leaf

I truly enjoyed drawing this leaf. I went out into the yard to look for a good leaf to draw. Well, they were all good, but I could not help but notice that almost every leaf was marred or broken in some way.

Then I found this one.

You're still doing the creative journal?

Would you recommend it? I think I still have the link to getting started on one, if that's what you're talking about. I've been thinking about doing some crafty things to center myself, but do you think this would be a better past time?

Personally, I think everyone's an artist. Some people have specific training in one form or another, but art is mainly for the individual creating it. :0)

Trees

I love trees. I am a tree hugger.

Few things are as noble as trees.

I look at the book from time to time, it has become sort of second nature to me- in the sense that I can keep a journal and have no rules there. It's a place to let it all hang out- just my place- I can express myself there without any consideration outside of myself.

Creative journaling, to me, is just that. It's not a diary- it's a sanctuary.

When bored, draw your coffee

Don't know if you have Circle K where you live, but they have good coffee.

Self portrait

Kind of silly: I srcibbled and began coloring in fields. Then I put my hairline into some of them.

People have many faces.

I just have the biggest smile on my face now riff. Thank you!

The trees and coffee are my favs.

Keep em coming.

I have had to start a creative journal for my drawing class and I started by doing a portrait of the man I am in love with and it turned out looking exactly like him. He hasn't seen it yet, nor does he know my feelings, but I think he'll see how I feel when he sees that I drew him so exactly, from pure memory.

Unfortuneatly, I can't post the pic here, because I don't know if he'd be okay with that, but it will be on my site later on. I am not sure when but I'll post other stuff I sketch and write here if you want to see some of it.

Let me know if it is okay and I'll post some now.

I want to see more of your sketches though, so don't stop sharing them or I'll kill you. :)

Ok, this thread has me smiling :)
Thanks for sharing riff.

Do.

Please.

We'll post it in the hut.

We need art in the hut so it would be nice.

I never did my cuntal blood work. I just started my period this evening too.

I'll pull this rag out in a bit and do some art with it.

I mean it.

I am sincere this time.
