Dragons Realm ~

Yes...she had to agree with Kaylia, they had to go. She was not concerned for herself but for the other two injured among them. Looking between the two men she nodded and hopped out of the wagon, holding onto thecloak in such a way that it did not reveal her nude form underneath.

"Master Ryker.." she began, still giving respect to the old title, the one she was more accustomed to. "Perhaps it would be best if you lead us."

She watched Korgn get out of the wagon, looking at his face she could see an inner conflict stirring in him, but what it was she did not know. However she did not leave his side. As soon as he was down she watched him walk a few steps...which were shaky and stiff.

Moving up beside him she wrapped an arm around his waist to help steady him some.

"My name...is Shivaras." she had to pause breifly, she was about to give out her Dragon name but thought better of it. For the time being anyway. For at the moment she thought that it was best that only one of them knew of what she is.

"Kaylia...could you help me please?" She asked refering to the aid she was giving to Korgan.

Dorian nodded, and headed back to where his bow, and small crossbow had fallen. He retrieved both, and quickly restrung his bow, while the others readied themselves.

Shortly, he heard the sound of hooves, and went to meet his horse, Traveler. The large brown stallion strode into the clearing, and headed right for Dorian. Dorian stroked Traveler's nose, and leaned his head forward to touch it to the lowered head of the steed in greeting.

Traveler was more than a mount to him, he was a friend.

When he turned toward the rest of the group, he had a rope in his hand, which he used to bind the two prisoners.

He pulled out his small herb pouch, mortar, and pestle, and started to grind together a selection. One that would keep the wizard unconscious, and unable to cast. he put the herbs in a small cup, and forced the wizards mouth open, keeping his neck bent to close off the air pipe. he poured the mixture slowly down the mage's throat. When he was through, he bound the slayer.

"We might as well keep the wagon."

Truthfully, he had enough evidence to kill them both. But it was not his way. They would stand trial, and hang for their crimes.

When the others were ready, he moved off at a walk, Traveler following behind him..

Kaylia has only heard stories of those called Forest masters, indeed it has been a very long time since shes heard that term. Granted she only repeated it after she heard Shivaras call him by that name, but it was also out of some level of respect.

"Its not like I wanted to kill them, I had no other choice."

She felt bad enough with what she had to do with the horses, at the mention of hurting another one for no serious reason stung her. Kaylia didn't give her name, though Shivaras had spoken it, but then she didn't know either, letting it slide for now.

Just before she walked over to where the others were, she knelt down where the horses lay, in an ancient elven tongue gave a small prayer to their souls.

Getting on the other side of Krogan, wrapping his arm over her shoulders making it easier to support his weight as they walked. She caught a glimpse of what was in the wagon, just the sight of all those parts, the scent suddenly rising to her made her cringe, almost nauseating. Somehow she was able to hold the feelings back, not wanting to show anymore than she already has.

Kaylia wanted to burn it all, it gave off a bad feeling. A feeling that crept up her spine, things tend to happen when a caster dies, specially to the one and the ones that were around, that killed a caster. Also came the feeling that the mage wasn't completly dead, it was all to confusing. Kaylia needed rest, get her thoughts in order.

Yet, to burn things such as the wagon at night, will bring unwanted attention.

For a moment her eyes met Dorians', just as quickly she broke the gaze just when his horse came running towards him. Watching everything that he does to the caster, he seemed like he was dead, though, one can never be certain.

Started walking with the others down the path, following Dorian .

It was a slow walk down the dark trail, Kaylia and Shivaras were on both sides of Korgan makin sure he would be alright. She felt bad that she didn't have anything to cover him with, but perhaps it was late enough that not many will be up and notice. Plus he was injured and that alone would should bring sympathy to those that did look. Finally all them arrive at the gates to the town, the guards stop them for obvious reasons. Seeing a few injured people, two of which were naked, at least one had a cloak. The other two were bound with arrows burried in them, what guard wouldn't stop at the sight of such things.

Kaylia kept silent while listening as the forest master and the guard talked for a moments. Every now and then the guard would look past Dorian at the others. Soon two guards took the slayer and the mage away in chains. And allowed the rest of us to continue inside, indicating a place where Korgan can go and be attended to if they wished it. But it looks more like he needed rest and food more than anything else.... And clothes.

The four of them found an inn and again, Dorian talked to the inn keeper, seemingly to know these people, or know just what to say to them.

Korgan could feel it running through his blood, moving up and down his arms, his legs, all around his stomach. For a moment, weasiness passed over him, but he fought it, and once it passed, he felt stronger. The pains and tortures of the last few weeks slowly but surely lifted from him.
What had that been?
A spell
Yes, it was a spell. Some sort of regenerating spell, or strength spell. AS they walked in town, he thanked both of the ladies for their help, but could walk on his own now.
"I couldn't do it without you, I am in debt," He said, A smile twisted on his face.
They had touched him though, and he was too weak earlier to stop them. Visions flooded him, some of the past, some of the future. They all jumbled together, although some did contain him.
He wanted to follow them, or more importantly, the dragon... If nothing else, than to keep watch over her.
Complete the spell, bind her.
"Forgive me," He said, walking a distance from them. In a moment, he closed his eyes, drawing upon whatever he had been gifted earlier. Spells, big and small came to him, a petty one, clothing. Black robes seemed to grow off of his skin, covering himself, and wrapping him in the finest silk.
He looked like a mage...
Korgan gave a smile.
"Perhaps some ale and food would be best. I'd enjoy that."

The Innkeeper, Brutain, agreed to give them a room. He only had one left unfortunately, but it was the largest in the hotel. As a favor to Dorian, who had helped him out of a difficult situation with a band of highwaymen 'taxing' his supply wagons in the season past, Brutain gave them the room for the price of a standard. He had not wanted to take anything at all, figuring that the amount of tax money Dorian had saved him from would pay for the room four times over, but Dorian insisted on some payment.

Dorian payed for the room up front, from his own purse.

"And have some food, drink, and bandages brought up to the room, please, Master Innkeeper." Dorian thought for a moment. "And if you know of a good seamstress, please send her up as well, with some woman's clothing, and the means to alter them to fit."

"Brutain, to you, Forest Warden. Please."

Dorian nodded, and bowed his head slightly. "Brutain."

Dorian reached into his purse for additional coin to pay for the food, but the innkeeper waved him away hurriedly. "No! No more, i say. Food and drink I'll not charge you for, and that all there is to it."

Dorain smiled slightly, but shook his head. Brutain..."

"No!" The innkeeper insisted. "You would take nothing from me when you disbanded those thieving highwaymen . . . you would not let be give you a room . . . but I will not let you pay for your food, while under my roof. Not ever."

"There are four of us . . ."

"Four or twenty, it makes no difference. I'll take no more of your coin."

Dorian sighed, and shook his head. "Very well. This time."

Brutain nodded, and clapped his hands twice quickly. "Nora! Show the Forest Warden and his party to the master's suite.

A petite serving maid bobbed a quick curtsy, nad headed upstairs, the group in tow. The common room was surprisinly full for this time of day, and the the two women drew a great deal of interest from the hald drunken crowd. Dorian managed to turn there attentions elsewhere with a hard glare, and a hand slid lazily onto his sword hilt.

Korgan, had somehow found some clothing, and oddly enough looked much like the Mage on the wagon. Dorian didn't like oddity he could not explain. He would keep an eye on him.

The suite was just that, a suite. There were three rooms. A bedroom, a sitting room, and a small room for the servants to sleep him.

"If we stay the night, I'll sleep here, in the sitting room. I don't mind the floor. The ladies, can have the bedroom of course. I've arranged for some food and a seamstress to be brought up here."

Kaylia didn't like the sudden change in Korgan, not one bit. One moment he was leaning on her for support, now he's healthy and summoned himself some clothes? This did not settle well.

But at the same time she was growing ansy, never been in a town before. The gates and the walls at the entrance made her all the more curious. Wanting to see more, knowing that things would be closed. Perhaps it was early enough that some may possibly have stores still open.... Doubtful, but she wanted to find out more and see more of this town.

"I ummm.. Well, seeing how it seems safe enough and that you are in ... What seems like good care, specially if a seamstress is on her way."

Kaylia looked away for a moment, not really seriously wanting to leave the dragon here with these two, though, the inn was full. All she had to do was scream right?

"I wish to step outside for a bit. I think it is best if we stay here for the night, recover some strength... I shall return, I promise."

Taking one last look towards Shivaras, almost asking permission to leave and double checking to make sure she was alright. A quick glance towards the Dorian then Kaylia was out the door, making her way down the stairs. She was so curious, almost like a child... Then again, she has been sheltered from the world and she wanted to see everything she could.

Dorian RyKar

She left with one last look at him, and he frowned at her back. Too many unknowns here, and he did not want her roaming around this town on her own. Not that he questioned her safety. He just didn't trust her as yet.

He turned to the others. "You will be as safe in this Inn as it is possible to be. The Innkeeper is a good man, and would die before betraying you. I cannot vouch for the others here, though, so it would be best if you stayed in the Inn. The common room is lively. If it's gambling, or a mug of ale or some wine you seek, it can be had there."

He shook his head, ruefully. "It seems I have a tab running, so you'll not need money, unless it's gambling your after."

He headed for the door, with only his sword, and daggers.

"I'm going to warn the other."

He left, to catch up with Kaylia, and caught her in the common room.

"If you must see the town . . . which I think is a bad idea, by the way . . . you'll not do it alone."

Kaylia was about to reach the door when she heard his voice behind her. Turning to see Dorian, at first she wasn't sure whether to smile or be disturb that he would follow her.

"I'm not much of an indoor person. I've been ........ It does not matter. Its a town what harm can be here if I just take a peek around? I will not disturb anyone."

Speaking softly as she stepped outside, the fresh air rushed over her, the smells inside the inn was to much. The smoke stung her eyes, the smell of sweaty and drunken men. She only walked a few steps off to the side out of the way from the door. Dorian followed after her,

"If it is such a bad idea, then what do you suggest? I do wish to see the town, but seeing how I know nothing about it."

Leaned up against the wall, enjoying the night air while waiting for his response.

Dorian RyKar

He regarded her quizically.

"You never seen a town before . . ."

He found himself smiling.

"Perhaps you'll see the capital one day. A city large enough to swallow dozens of towns."

He looked around, then turned back to her, holding out his arm to escort her. "Very well. If you wish it, we'll go on a short journey. Just stay close to me. A woman of your beauty can attract the wrong sort of attention. Sometimes just the appearance of you being mated will keep them at bay."

He waited for her to take his arm, and took the opportunity to study her again. She really was beautiful.

Kaylia casted her gaze down, for the first time embarrassed by never even seein a town such as this before.

"Let's just say I've been sheltered from many things."

It was the simpliest way to put it. Looking up to see him extend his arm, her cheeks burned with flush at his words. Hesistantly she took his arm, allowing him to escort her as he called it.

As they walked she was very alert and excited at, to most people, were the simple things. The way the homes were built, the stables and how the horses remained in them. The huge wall that surrounded the town.

"This place is amazing.... And this Capital you spoke, is larger than this? I can only hope to see it one day for sure."

She was almost jealous of the people that lived here, they all knew each other, whether they were friends or foe. Growing up with eachother. It was nothing like she could imagine.

For a moment she looked up at Dorian, catching his gaze, feeling the flush in cheeks as she realized how she has been acting in all the excitment.

"I'm... I'm sorry if acting foolish... I just.."

Lowered her gaze from him ashamed for that moment of not being able to control her excitment.

Shivaras

Kaylia had left her with these two..butbriefly it seemd as Dorian stood and followed her soon after. Now she was here with Korigan. He had changed a bit over a short time, first hobbling with them and then suddenly regaining enough strength to walk on his own. Had it been an act? No. She was sure it hadn't.

"Korgan?" She asked softly as she looked around the Inn. At first there was no response, then she saw a figure dressed in black robes moving through the Inn. As the figure turned she caught a glimpse of its face and had to blink. Was that Korgan? But..how? How had he gone to that..form what she had seen??

Slowly she stood and made her way over to him. Standing just behind him she bit her bottom lip warily. "Korgan?" She spoke again.

"Shivaras, there you are," He hugged her, tightly, a shit grin on his face. He enjoyed the though of them being alone for awhile. There was so many things they could discuss.
"I thought I had lost you. No worries, we're supposed to go up to the room, we'll be safe there."
He showed her the way, opening the door for her.
"Boy, this has been one long and exhausting day, has it not? All the fighting... and before."
Korgan sat down, playing with something in between his hands, it sparkled from time to time, when the light caught it.
"So, how did they do it? Capture you, I mean? Do you know? Do you know what they wanted with you? Seems like we've all been through a lot. If those guys are willing to go so far, anyone could..."
Korgan gave her a knowing wink, he knew more than he should... and even more than he wanted, now that a wizard was rattling around inside him. Still, it wasn't soo bad, not as bad as before. They were making compromises, and Korgan could live with that.

She had to admit...she was extremely confused by his change. This couldn't be the same Korgan shehad found in the back of the wagon...but..surprisingly..it was. As he led her up to the rom he kept talking, not letting her get a word in edge wise. But the way he talked, he acted as though he knew her, andd not just breifly.

Now she stood in front of the door, stammeringfor words, she had grown a little nervous and it was starting to show quite visibly. "I..ummm...they..yes. You and I have been through a lot, with our own seperate ordeals." How could he know of what had happenned to her before they met...he had not been there when she was chained.

Slowly she stepped away form the door and glanced down the hall. "But I fear my throat is a bit dry, I think I shall return to the common room for a smal drink." Yes..yes that sounded good. His change was indeed strange and unsettling at the same time. And what was that he was holding in his hands. He did not possess that..nor the clothing he wore at the moment.

Giving him a small smile she stepped back away from the door and began to make her way back towards the stairs.

Korgan stepped out, giving her an odd look, "We can get anything we want, you heard them didn't you?"
He called down, asking for some ale and food to be brought up. The man, nodding his head, was more than happy to oblige.
"You all right? You don't seem very comfortable? Is it cause of what just happened? Let me assure you, the men are gone. And I won't let anything happen to you."
Yet...
Korgan smiled, "I promise. I just wanted to make sure they couldn't do it again... get to you, that is. You know, it's easy this day and age to get things so wrong and manipulated. Come on, sit down, talk with me."

Kaylia looked around one last time, though she didn't move from the spot they were standing in. It seemed like sometime since she had left the dragon, alone, with someone that even Kaylia didn't trust.

"I- I think we should head back. I don't wish to leave Shivaras alone for to long.... With him."

She looked up into his showing that something else was on her mind. He had been kind to her this far and that gave him him some of her trust.

"Again, I'm sorry for letting my curiousity and extiment get the best of me. You are indeed right I have not seen a town, even one as simple as this. And nor have I ever been around people."

With that she looked away at what she just admitted, seeing off the side some couple, probably drunk, all over each other. Slowly but surely they both made into some home.

"Lets go back, I'm sure they are waiting for our return."

Dorian Rykar

Her hand still haeld his forearm, and he placed his hand on top of hers.

"You're not being foolish." He shook his head. "I'm sorry, I don't spend time in the company of others very often. My manners are . . . sometimes less than they should be."

He looked back to the Inn, noticing her slight blush at the couple showing their . . . affection for one another.

"Perhaps we should go back, however, if you're concerned about your friend . . ."

Shivaras stood there for a moment, unsure of what was going on now. "I assure you Korgan, I can take care of myself just fine. But thank you for the offer, and your concern." She gave him a sweet smile befor looking to the stairs...perhaps she had made a mistake.

Maybe she should have gone on her own butit was too late now. Shehad approached him and asked of his name when they were downstairs, now it seemd his truer colors were showing through.

But something else puzzeled her, and she wanted to know the asnwer before she went any further with him..."Korgan..there is just one question I have right now..yu talkas though you know me...why..." It was both a statement and a question..she knew she did not know him..but he still talked as though he knew her. And already she had the last words of aspell of protection on the tip of her tongue to use against him if she so needed. Yes she could probably use her other powersto fight him..but..she preffered not to fight if she could..another oddity for a Black Dragon..

Kaylia smiled as his hand touched hers, a shock coursed her her very core unexpectedly.

"You have nothing to be sorry for. I'm the one that ran out into some unknown, well to me, unknown. Anything could happen at any time. I am not sure why you followed, but... I do thank you."

Kaylias' fingers entwined with his unconciously as they began to walk back towards the Inn.

"I am concered for her. But something about him that I don't trust. I should have never left her alone. Specially the way that he changed so suddenly....."

Korgan sat back down on the bed, still playing with the tiny piece of energy in his hands. It rolled back and forth like smooth velvet on his hands.
"I know you because you touched me," he said, plainly, "I have a gift for such knowledge. When people touch me, I can sense their lives, past, present and future. People have called me a fortune teller, or a soothseer, whatever psychic surname they want to give me... "
He crushed the piece of energy, looking up at her.
"I want to know what you know, because the wizard captured me too. He put a spell on me, and forced me to help him find creatures like you. I don't know for what purpose though... that's what I'm trying to find out, that's what I've been trying to find out. Most of the dragons we ever came across we just killed, and left to rot, but you... he knew you were special. He knew he had to have you for something else, something bigger. I need to know why though."
Korgan put his hands in the air, wondering just what she wanted to hear? Was he out to get her? Trying to scare her? He wanted to help her, because she had been in his same position, a victim of the wizard's plot.
Renald
Yes, Renald.
They are coming back.... be careful
"I'm sorry if I scared you."

"No..I am sorry. It's just that. Well, with things that have been going on lately...I find it hard to trust anyone I meet right away.."

Giving himan appologetic smile she stepped into the room and shut the door. Perhaps she was being overly cautious..after all she had sevd him so to speak, and where she came from something like that deserved the same favor in turn. At least..that is what she believed.

Walking over to a small chair she took a seat, pulling the cloak about her a bit more.

"You wish to know why he did not kill me right away.." Taking in a deep breath she looked him over...yes..she believed she believed she could trust him..at least a little. "I search for the Sword of Klauth...but it is more than a sword. It is said that this weapon is an artifact, one that can open a gateway between this world and the realm where...we Dragon's originated from. But I quest to find it and return it to where it rightly belongs..." Of course she left out bits of information. She did not tell him of the riddles nor what she had to do or where it ws going, the Elf Lord Belorian had told her not to do so.

A few secondslater the inkeeper was at the door with a tray pof drinks and snacks. They could hear him tapping atthe door lightly along with the tinking of glass.

"This..weapon..reasts in the lair of the Ancient Wyrm Klauth...for the moment he keeps it, but he is nearing the end of his life age....and I am the one who was given the honor of winning his prize."
