Princess Rosalynn Chambers sighed in great contempt as she received another lecture from her head counsel that she wasn't equipped to run the kingdom of Delsopherlies.

"You are but a girl, it is a mans job, and yours is to produce heirs." Count Webster scolded once again. "Unless you marry you will lose the kingdom to your cousin Peter. He is second in line. You know this, your time is running out. Three months left and that is all. Marry Prince Edgar, Calvin, Horatio, Rubenstein, any of them are sufficient suitors which would create a handsome alliance."

Rosalynn scoffed at him. "Prince Edgar, as the IQ of a tubular slitherer (worm), Prince Calvin thinks my name is Jocylynn, and Prince Horatio and Rubenstein, are old enough to be my grandfathers. I will hear no more from you of what my duties are. I am more aware of what the rules state then anyone.” Somehow she would have to either find a loophole, or find a husband she could tolerate.

Her parents had died in a carriage accident a year ago. She had taken over and bided her time. But now time was running out. Leaving the room she took one of the many secret passages down to the armory. She had a trunk that simply remained out of site that she unlocked with as much stealth as possible. She would show them all that she was as good as any man.

Placing on her suit of armor and tucking her long red locks up under the helmet she put the visor down. Her 5'8 Frame stood as tall as only a few of the men. In armor her curves of her 19 years were hidden. The only way it would be possible to tell she was a woman was for her to speak, or be unarmored.

Making her way to the stable she stepped up on the lift waiting for them to bring her a horse. This armor was heavy, but she would manage. With her sword holstered and a package of a few days supplies she set off. She was as skilled as any knight, and as brave as any man. She would show them by bringing back a dragons head. That was her quest, her mission, find one of the several scaled villains and slay him. Then they would have no choice but to step aside and over turn that silly rule that said she had to be a man.

Night came quickly and stopped her midway through the desolate forest. She was far enough away to lose some of this armor. She decided the legs and boot covers could go. It would give her more mobility on horseback. The trousers she wore were big enough to still help conceal her curves. It took her a bit to lose what she needed to. Placing the other items to the side she now looked for twigs to start a fire with some flint.

She built the fire up enough to keep the critters at bay. She refused to let her nerves get the best of her. One of the two suns rose waking her, the brighter orb of light trailing behind. Getting her helmet gauntlets and chest piece on she got on her horse and began again.

The islands were all connected. From the stories she had heard. Most dragons would burrow deep in the cave walls of volcanoes or mountains. So this is where she would start to look. She didn’t relish in the idea of killing one of the noble creatures. But the significance of it would allow her to stay in control of her kingdom. It didn’t seem as though she had a choice.

Luxata rolled onto his legs, from his side, the shower of gold, silver, gems and jewelry form his body musically filled the large magma chamber of the volcano in which he lived.

His eyes blinked slowly, red slits of malevolence and hunger. Sleeping for a hundred years would make the gentlest of dragons ill tempered. Luxata was not known to be a gentle dragon. Far from it.

His name in the history books was surrounded by fire, blood, death and rampages that slaughtered villages, sometimes towns, and one city in the past. He knew from the state of his hunger that the human servants that he once had were all dead, no human could quite live that long.

Shaking his massive head, more precious metals rained down unto the treasure trove upon which he had slept. The heat of the magma had melted the outer ring of treasure into a large disc that protected the inner wealth. He raised his snout straight up and roared, a bellowing low octave sound that reverberated through out the chamber, leaking into the sky far above him.

His wings stretched out, and with one, two, three, mighty flaps he landed on the caldera rim and surveyed the country side around him. He notice immediately that his favorite target for food, a village called Long Moon, some 30 miles away, had recovered from his ravaging a century before and thrived. His mouth smiled with cruelty as he took wing, and flew toward the small town. Dinner had been served for him.

The hunt for a dragon was better done with several parties, but she couldn't afford having anyone claim the men were responsible. Tying her horse she made her way to foot of Havoc Volcano. She was going to have to climb this blasted thing and it was bound to be troublesome.

Her armor clanked as she started to try to climb. It must have taken her a couple of hours before she even reached a decent ledge where she could sit, drink some water and relax. This armor was scorching hot as the sun beat down on her. As badly as she wanted to shed this unwelcome layer, she knew she needed it.

With about a half hour rest, she got up and started her climb again. If there wasn't a dragon hiding at the end of this, she wasn't sure if she had the stamina to continue to search. With a few slips of the footing it took her about 2 1/2 more hours before she reached the edge of a cavern. She sat down on the edge and rested before making the choice to explore it.

Her first few steps in her feet made crunching sounds. She looked down to see bones. Wanting to yell 'eeww' she refrained herself and cautiously continued. It was certainly wide enough for a large dragon. Listening carefully for any sounds she delved deeper after making a torch with a leg bone and a few shreds of worn ripped cloth. Probably someones pants or what was left of them.

Light began to flicker off shiny objects a bit deeper. The treasure this dragon had collected over time. But he was no where to be found or heard. Finding a place to rest and hide she sat and waited.

Luxata flew back to his volcano in an almost lazy manner. He had a horse in each front talon and had swallowed a couple sheep as a snack. The terror he witnessed in the humans always excited him, and he figured at some point it may get tiresome, but not this century apparently.

He stopped At the rim of the caldera and ate the two horses allowing the bones he did not eat to rain down into his lair. A mess easily cleaned later.

As he finished he smelled something new. Someone new. A human brought themselves to here? Almost excitedly he floated down and landed on the island surrounded by magma. His voice rumbled menacingly as he growled out, "Come out little one. Mahap I shall not eat you. Make me seek you, and I shall eat you, after cooking you appropriately. "

He turned his head, as large as the biggest of wagons toward the human smell. He breathed in and rumbled out, "Now or die."

The sound of the wings and the thump as he landed set her on alert. Then came bones crashing in. His voice deep and harsh as he made his observation of her presence known. Taking out her sword she rose slowly and stepped out. Her helmet visor down to hide her feminine features as her armor clanked into his view.

"Are you sure it's me that would die dragon?" she questioned trying to unsuccessful lower her voices register. It made her cough and she growled at her self and tore the helmet off freeing her red locks. She didn't have any need to hide her gender from a dragon. Only from people on her way here. It was too big for her head anyway.

Her eyes widened as she got a look at the size of his massive head. This was it, she was screwed. What was she thinking, she would be lucky enough to find a midsize dragon? She kept the look on her face as determined as she could as she stared back at him.

"I have no choice but to bring back your head, the welfare of my kingdom depends on it."

Luxata chuckled.

There might be more frightening noises than a dragon laughing, but humans don't live through those encounters to explain just how terrifying it is.

"The third D it is."

Luxata laid his head down on a pike if gold, the metallic tinkling filling the air. "Tell me snack, what could be so wrong that only a dragon's head can fix it. "

The laugh send chills down her spine. He questioned her motive for such a quest and she couldn't think of a reason not to tell him the truth. One of them was dead so it wouldn't be as if it was going to leave the cavern.

"There is a loop hole in the governing rules of my kingdom, only if a deed is completed that no man can do alone shall a woman be allowed to rule. My other choice is to marry and let my questionably competent king rule, or hand down my claim to my cousin who will utterly and completely destroy the lives of the people for his own glory.

It is not for myself that I am here, but for the lives and future generations of my kingdom, and the memory of my parents whom brought my kingdom into prosperity."

Re-clasping her fingers on the hilt of her sword she took stance. "Unless you have an alternative option, one of us will have to perish"

He reached out and snatched the human in his taloned claw and lifted her up. He held her over the magma for a moment then turned the palm upright.

Opened his claw Luxata flicked her sword out of her hand with a talon. The heat waves rose from the magma and outlined her for him. "Why should I care about your kingdom? It is of little consequence to me," he mused to himself in draconic.

He thought A moment the said, "Perhaps a deal can be struck. An expensive deal on your part to be true. But a deal nonetheless. "

He nuzzled her unto a sitting position and took a talon and easily tore the breastplate down the middle and threw the useless armor into the magma. "I will pose as your husband, human, for one percent of the tax of your kingdom. For each challenge to your reign that I suppress I gain one tenth of one percent more going forward. Each war I participate in gains me a 1 percent increase as well."

He liked her figure, pleasant enough for a human, and frankly mating a dragon was dangerous stuff, that was as likely as not to result in the death of one of the two drapes.

"You will act the proper queen and wife, and I will use my powers to support your reign. I will also use the women of the men in your court to that end. Though you alone will bear my children."

He set her down in front of him, on a pile of gold, "Deal human?"

Her mouth dropped open at his suggestion as he sat her down. "I propose a different deal. You will be my king long enough to put a change in the rule that a woman can rule alone. For each year you stay you get 5% of the royal profit for that year. We won't consummate the marriage, whatever affairs you have are your business unless you are caught, or found out in which case they will cease. In public we will put on the in love facade, and you will support me in all decisions, you are of course welcome to offer your opinion in private and i will be happy to consider it, but you will never undermine my word in front of public."

His chuckle filled the chamber again as Luxata said, "No human. I do not need your help, and you clearly need mine. "

He shifted his weight a little and continued, "After all, you are already here, and my captive. I need only wait and you lose everything by saying no."

He snorted out a smoke ring that settled around her, "And I lose nothing, I can mate you with it without your consent. Consenting will be far more pleasurable for you."

"I will not trade one prison for another. I was raised with the belief that Dragons were noble creatures, and great defenders of injustice. But you sir are simply an over sized bully. Eat me, Kill me, I don't care. At least i'm willing to do whats right." With that she got up and ran towards the opening of the cavern.

He snatched her up after the third arise. "Don't mistake me, human, for my hold or silver cousins. I can about wealth and survival."

He brought her round to fave him, I will sign your law, rest of the deal stands. Agreed? I do not wish to rule anyway."

"It is still slavery if i am forced to mate with you. If your only goal is wealth and survival, just set a price, once you sign the law you can go and find someone else that doesn't mind being cornered and bare your offspring. Being a breeding mare for a life time without love or affection doesn't seem to be a deal at all"

Luxats looked and said, "You never know, you may like me in the sack. After all I do have the endurance of a dragon, and all that implies. Not to mention I am as voracious in sex as I am in wealth."

He shrugged, "On those rare times it is available."

He peered at her, "Give it two years, if you don't like it we will renegotiate the deal, or I can 'die' off leaving you a widow."

"I will be a proper queen and wife in all ways for two years. With the exception that I will not bare your child. If on or before that time frame some form of mutual emotional connection forms then we will look at it then. However, if i am to be your bedroom toy, then there are to be no extra marital affairs. My previous request still stands, you'll sign the law, and support me in my decisions. Is that acceptable?"

"As long as you can keep up with the sex fine. If not, I reserve the right to get pleasured by hand or mouth by whatever partner I find."

He set her down on the outside ring of the magma pool. "What shall I look like? Human? Elf? Half Dragon?"

He snorted in amusement, "Tell me your desires for a mate, queen, and I will deliver those physical attributes."

"Half Dragon, that way in the even we ever have children we won't have to explain. Dark hair, 6'1 to 6'4, broad muscular physique with a strong jaw line. If i am to have to have a husband I want girls to faint with desire at the sight of him.

We'll need to create a backstory, a kingdom you hail from, probably a dowry, which you can have back when you leave. How long are you able to keep the form? Are you accustom to human ways and etiquette?"

He looked at Rosalyn and gave her a questioning look. "Some, not much. Consider if you will, do you bother to learn the customs of your cattle?"

He began shifting and in a moment stood naked before her. Horns curled from the sides of his head, thick spikes pointing up and back. Res wings sprouted from his back, leathery, much like his natural wings though much smaller. He stood at six and a half feet tall his shoulders almost half that in width. Powerful arms and legs framed his body and his muscles rippled as he checked himself out. He better his cock and asked, "Large enough? Bigger?"

"actually yes, they don't use cutlery or sit in a chair, or eat at a table. They don't dance, or bow, or use manners. I'm not familiar with what kind of magic you can or can't do. So don't think me stupid when I ask this.. Is there any sort of mind link or something we can do to help guide you?"
His body started to change and as she watched in amazement and admiration she gasped.

"Oh good gracious" she blushed and covered her eyes. When he asked about his cock size she responded "I know nothing of such things, i'm sure you've bedded woman whatever you think is best. Just put some clothes on some how."

"How long can you hold this form for? Do I need to make accommodations for you to fit in a room in your true form?"

He shrugged as he walked across the magma, his long thick cock swinging left and right, next to her. He thought it cute that she his her eyes. "I can gold the form for a year, then I must spend a day or two in my true form."

He grabbed a robe and slit holes for his wings then put it on. "You may open your eyes now."

He stood looking down on her, "Yes I have such magic. I can establish a link that will allow me to communicate with you mentally."

He looked at her naked torso, and said, Perhaps you should dress in something more appropriate, Queenie."

He put his hands on each of her temples, "But first, Let's get that link going."

In all of the drama that had unfolded she failed to notice he had split off her tunic that she had on under the armor. Quickly she crossed her arms over her breasts as he placed his fingers on temples. Being this close to him brought her a fluctuation of sensations that she had never experienced. Perhaps it was the whole link thing. Feeling a little light headed she uncrossed her arms and grabbed his sides to steady herself.

The dragon came through on her description he was rock solid. She liked the way he towered over her, it was a feeling of security. A dragons word was suppose to be law. Hopefully she hadn't been misinformed about that either.

As the mental link was established Luxata felt something from Rosalyn he had not expected, safe. She felt safe. The ancient red dragon's shock was a palpable thing in the magma chamber, and he winced for her right after it, knowing he just gave her a splitting headache.

"I will endeavor to keep my thoughts and emotions to myself as much as I can. A dragon's mind is normally overwhelming on humans."

He picked her up and carried her to a rock formation he had melted into something of a bed, for a human hundreds of years ago. Laying her down he said, "I apologize for that moment, I will get you something to wear."

He came a few minutes later with a ball gown that has been gifted to him by elves in tribute five hundred or so years ago. It was gossamer thin, but magicked to fit whomever wore it. He began unbundling her graves and removed her armor, tossing it into the magma. "Put thus on, it will be beautiful."

After he winced she grabbed her head and almost fell over. It was a sharp pain that left behind a splitting headache. She laid her head against his chest as he effortlessly carried her over to a formation that looked like a bed. Remembering she was top naked she covered herself.

'I will survive' she thought testing to see if the link was working. Taking the gown she slowly rose with her back to him and removed what was left of her clothing and put the dress on. It was beautiful and fit her as if it was made for her.

'do you have a mirror?' she asked through the link. 'by the way I am princess Rosalyn chambers of Delsopherlies.'

He held up a shield that was polished as well as any mirror for her to look at what she was wearing. "My name is Luxata, but you knew that. It will have to change for your little masquerade. "

After Rosalyn got a good look at the way the elven garment hugged and highlighted her inherent sexiness, Luxata placed the shield back where he got it from. "Leave now, so I may secure my lair, after I procure your dowry."

"I actually needed the mirror to fix my hair." she said softly picking it up and leaning it against the bed. It took her a few moments to run her fingers through her hair and place it up.

"What name shall I tell them will be my husbands that will grant us with his presence in? two days? and also if you don't mind, i would like a lift down. It was no easy feat climbing up this volcanic wall to get here. I can't very well do it in this dress."

She waited a moment and then added. "It will be very likely that once i announce your existence and that you will be arriving soon. My cousin will try to have you assassinated. So please be safe."
