OOC: I know Zeo. he's a good friend of mine and I was trying my best to tell him that there was a good chance he wouldn't be coming in here, but I tend to agree with Phoenix. I wouldn't mind having him as an enemy, but of course he would have to rework his character and do some other changes if neccessary. Of course it all depends on what DW says since this is his thread.

After helping Nilons with the milk which then flatly refused to drink, I see in the corner of my eye Kelson and a somewhat dour expression on his face. Then he walks off.
Damn, might his feelings been hurt by all of us going at it in the kitchen? I think to myself. I grab a couple apples I rescued from everyone else's clutches and jump over everyone to get out the door and run after Kelson. I catch up to him and yell his name. As he turns around, I throw an apple at him and he catches it.
Here, have an apple. I'm sure Mr. Popo will restock the fridge real quick. It's probably best that you're not in there because you might lose an arm to their chompers.
He just looks at me with a neither a smile or frown. I can't really figure out what's in his mind right now. Then I remember something that might pique his interest.
You ready to fly Kelson?
K: Excuse me?
If you're ready, I'll teach you to fly.
K: I'm a human, not part alien like you and the others. I can't fly.
Yes you can. Everyone has the ability to fly, the problem is that most people just don't know how to do it. Hell, Gohan wrote in his book that he taught his future wife, who was a full blooded human, how to fly. So it's not uncommon, it's just that us Saiyans seem to go above and beyond normal things.

Just calm down and watch me.
I stand still and gather my Ki energy within me, then I push it downwards and hover off the ground, effortlessly.
You can do this too Kelson, and much more. You just need to harness and channel your Ki, or Inner energy, that way you can do this and other things.
I drop back down onto the lookout and start walking around Kelson as I talk.
You've got a power there, Kelson. You use it when you fight, when you wake up, when you feel with your heart, when you weep in your heart. That energy is Ki, the inner energy of all living things. What you need to do is encounter and harness this energy, then bend it to do your will. You've got an advantage because you are a strong human, so it's not buried deep inside you. It should be easy for you to find and use.
Now I need you to close your eyes and concentrate on my voice.
K: And why should I? How do I know that I won't be left out here to be like an idiot or you'll take advantage of the situation and make sure that you defeat me?

The Lesson: Pt. 1
I continue walking around Kelson, trying to be soothing with my voice, however he still seems very tense. Liking him to a Cobra ready to strike at any enemy.
If I ever do anything to him like touch his shoulder and such, I better tell him or he'll try to rip my head off and shit down the hole.
Ok Kelson, this stuff might sound a little corny, but believe me it works. Now Ki is used by many people, mostly Buddhists, Shaolins and other Eastern Religions. You might've heard it referred to as Chi or the Ying and the Yang, the balance of the opposite Chi.
Kelson nods his head in agreement, like he might've heard references about stuff like that before.
Now what we're going to be doing will be a lot more than most of those people have been able to do, so once you get this mastered, you literally will be the strongest human on the face of the planet. First however, you must learn to find your Ki then to harness it in a usable form.
I stop walking right in front of him so we're face to face.
I want you to create a picture in your mind. A picture of an overflowing well or a Geyser, but it never stops overflowing. You can see the water...taste the mist on your tongue...feel it coursing it's way through the surface of the planet and to escape from it's confines. That well is your Ki. It's wild, out of control and can be dangerous if left free. Can you feel it?
Kelson nods. He relaxes a little bit more as I can feel his energy creeping up as he gets "in tune" with it.
Remember what I said earlier, you use this energy to live, to fight and everything in between. It's your feelings of love or jealousy. Weakness and Strength. It's everything that makes you who you are.
Now...visualize a water hose. It's very long and wide enough to cover the well... Do you see it?
He inperceptively nods.
Good. This will be your harness. It will control your Ki and make it work FOR you not AGAINST you. Look up at the end of the hose. I want you to see one of those twisting spigots at the end so you can change the power of the water and if need be turn it off. Right now it should be completely open and all your water is flowing at full force.
I can feel his energy building and building up until finally it's up to the level he had when we sparred earlier.
Good Kelson. Very good. Now as I tell you to turn the spigot closed, I want your Ki level to start dropping. Remember, this water is your Ki so you need to associate this with the other.
Start closing the spigot.
As we progressed more and more, he finally was able to control his Ki energy. When he wanted it to build, he was getting it up there in power and just as quickly he would make it tone down until he had it under control.
Good Kelson. Now open your eyes and relax, you've finally controlled your Ki.

OOC: If Nilons could read minds Ski would be dead. All women crazy. Well that is true but she would hate it. Before we fight the villan say a month to a year passes. This way we could of mastered some things like flying and that new fangled energy wave.
IC: Nilons sat in the kitchen for a while. She was happy to be full for the little while it would last. She began to think of everything that had happen today. "Damn, we blew a lot of shit up today." I remembered falling, flying seemed simple just don't think about how high up you are. No problem. The last thing that came to mind was the lack of non-fat milk.
Damn it this place has every thing but no non-fat milk how the hell can I fight when I haven't had non fat milk in a week. I stromed out of the kitchen with a large amount of anger in mind. I walked out into the hall. I walked past Kelson and Michio both backed to the sides of the wall they knew I was mad.
I walked outside alone. If I was going to get some sleep, I would have to work off my anger. I began to punch and kick the air around me. I thought more and more about the milk. Finaly I concetrated my energy into one opened fist. I puched as hard as I could with that hand. "Now I fell better."
I looked up to where I had punched and saw a white orb with a comet like tail leave veiw. "What the hell?" I eyes opened wide. It wasn't the kam-me-ham-ta thing but........ It would do just fine. "Oh is Laos ever in for a suprise tomrow." I then thought about it. Whynthe couldn't I do it in the fight with Ski.
Turning around I see Ski looking at me. "Um, don't tell any one what I just did, Kay." He noded his submitence. Yep its nice to know I'm respected as a fighter. And pretty soon I can get even with Michio and Laos for there sexest ways. I then went to bed.

Ski in "Innovations"
After eating I headed outside and began to relax leaning on the wall. HMM interesting I was watching that chick Nilons practice and I was intrigued her speed is what beat me and I wanted to uh learn her technique by uh studying her form. Yeah that's ticket I was studying her form. Suddenly her movements became faster more controlled more focused than me. It intrigued me. All of a sudden she like focused into an open fist and out came a white orb with a tail on it. From the looks of it she seemed to be in control of it. It was all interesting to say the least.
Coming of the shadows with smirk on my face she spotted me and said "Um, don't tell any one what I just did, Kay." Out of respect for another fighter I nodded and decided to comply. Was I was sure she had was gone and headed to bed. I began to walk to farther and farther away till I was sure that I was alone in.
Standing really still I began to focus my energy centering it in my body. This was a manuever I learned back when I was travelling on the streets going from town to town to fight in toughman/ mixed fighting competitions. I did not have a name for it but people often used horly shit when I did it. Focusing and centering that energy, I began to feel my power level raising. Pushing my self harder and harder I felt the wind began to say more and more. Just when my power was at it's apex I released it from my center creating almost blinding flare of light from my body, it was almost like a sunburst effect. The point of the manuever is not really to defeat anyone with it, but it does blind my opponents for a period of time leaving them defenseless to my attack. The downside of it was it made me exhausted. I was almost too tired to stand. Slowly making my way back inside I crawled to my room to get some rest. Tommorrow I might break out my move but first I got to think of a way to use it without wiping myself out like this.

OOC: Sorry I haven't been around for a cupla days. Life got a bit hectic. Yes, I thoroughly agree with what you said Phoenix about things happening in your life... I can completely understand and identify with that. It's just that, and with your experience I know you know what I'm talking about, way too many threads just die, and I hate it.
Now, onto Zeo. I don't want to sound like an asshole here, but I did want to restrict things a bit for a reason. One of the major problems with Dragonball Z was that the Saiyans were so far ahead of everyone, that's why I've only allowed characters with such low saiyan blood.
Now, I said I would take no more characters - but, seeing as you are a friend of a friend, and you are willing to play a bad guy (at least, at first) I'll make an exception. But please, change your character. Either make him a low-blooded saiyan like ours (1/32 and 1/64ths) or make him sumthing entirely different. I'm fine with you being tuffer than us, but I want you to keep it in the ball park, if you know what I mean.

Laos finished off his meal, surprised to see everyone hitting the sack.
"Shit... you guys sure are early birds. Me, I'm going out for some more training." he said to himself, striding outside. He made sure no one was looking before attempting to do another of his energy waves. He was beginning to get the hang of it.

Thanks i dont mind when i come in and i'll lower the race blood line to your specs, Hopefully i can keep some of the stuff that i orgianly put in but of course i cant keep everything that i origanaly put in, Hopefully i can keep the senceing and i hope this isnt pushing it maybe be able to transform into a SSJ1 but that would be later on, cos you all know the attiude of Vegeta doesnt like to show his power untill he is confadent he can win or is that some one else, I know u lot say that this is 100 years after GT but i havnt seen GT so i dont know much about it, I've been watching Dragonball Z most of the time, anyway i'll leave it up to you, If i can change Zeo into Super Sayain then it wont be able to be at a high level, anyway let me know tell bandman and he'll pass on the information to me, Hopefully i can be a really good Bad guy,

"Very well, Kelson, now, remember the water we were making your ki appear as?"

"Well, I want you to make it become a roaring fire, coursing through your veins, can you do that for me?"
Kelson closes his eyes and concentrated, within his mind he saw a great flow of magma sitting in the center of a volcano and watched as small veins of it flowed over the top and down the sides. Ahh...this is my ki
"Now, project it out from under you...like a hot air balloon, let it fill you and lift you up."
The magma started flowing over the top more and more as Kelson pulled it to himself then tried to push it downward.
"No, no...focus it, then push it downwards"
The flow to his feet stopped and Kelson slowly began forming a ball of the molten rock in his chest, making it larger and larger...more and more power being added...the volcano overflowing quickly now...more magma pushed into the ball...the temperature rising...
"Now release it!"
Kelson threw his arms earthward, imaging the ball surging through him towards Kami's Lookout.
<BROOOOOOPH>
As the smoke cleared, Kelson coughed and sat up...looking dazzedly around the blackened ground. Michio sat up against a wall, equally stunned.
It was a few minutes before anything else happened...and when it did it was fairly minor. A small portion of the house's roof cracked and crashed to the ground a few feet from Michio. The part-saiyan man looked up then over...then back over at the small crater Kelson had created. The pair looked at each other.

And with that brief exchange of words, they both stood up slightly wobbly and looked down at the crater and blackened ground about it.
'Ooops'
OOC) Btw, in case this draws other people to try to teach Kelson how to fly, I don't want him to figure it out yet
'I'd prefer to learn how to fly first, Michio.'
"Very well, Kelson, now, remember the water we were making your ki appear as?"
'Mmhmm'
"Well, I want you to make it become a roaring fire, coursing through your veins, can you do that for me?"
Kelson closes his eyes and concentrated, within his mind he saw a great flow of magma sitting in the center of a volcano and watched as small veins of it flowed over the top and down the sides. Ahh...this is my ki
"Now, project it out from under you...like a hot air balloon, let it fill you and lift you up."
The magma started flowing over the top more and more as Kelson pulled it to himself then tried to push it downward.
"No, no...focus it, then push it downwards"
The flow to his feet stopped and Kelson slowly began forming a ball of the molten rock in his chest, making it larger and larger...more and more power being added...the volcano overflowing quickly now...more magma pushed into the ball...the temperature rising...
"Now release it!"
Kelson threw his arms earthward, imaging the ball surging through him towards Kami's Lookout.
<BROOOOOOPH>
As the smoke cleared, Kelson coughed and sat up...looking dazzedly around the blackened ground. Michio sat up against a wall, equally stunned.
It was a few minutes before anything else happened...and when it did it was fairly minor. A small portion of the house's roof cracked and crashed to the ground a few feet from Michio. The part-saiyan man looked up then over...then back over at the small crater Kelson had created. The pair looked at each other.
'That...'

OOC: Hey Nilons is not the only accident prone person!!
Oh and Zeo I don't think any of us have seen GT yet so your on the same level.
IC: "Laos.... hit sack..... already..... beat up..... for... tomorow." I then let out a big yawn. Need sleep. I then laid on the bed. Hu, something big and hard was laying on the bed. I quickly opened my eyes, it was Ski.
Jumping to my feet I say "I'm sorry.......... Um, wrong bed." I then laid done in the right bed. Hope I didn't get his hopes to high. What type of logic is that of coarse I got his hopes up. If I was a guy I'd want to sleep with me too.
I then lied in the bed and quickly fell asleep. We'll I wish I would of goten more sleep. Less then ten minutes after there is a loud exploseion. I hoped out of bed and raced down the hall. The evil was finnaly attacking. Now I could kick its but, and go home. Go home? Was that really important. Its been only a few days and I missed it, why? All's my mother did was complain about my fighting. Still I wished I had let them know whats going on.
I saw Michio and Kelson laying in a black creator. I imedotly knew what happened. "Michio, isn't Kelson a little fresh to learn that ka- thing. Look at this mess." Michio looked me in the eye and said "He was trying to fly."
Oh well, dang, and I thought my atemptes were bad. Well on the plus side this got me thinking of home. "Hey," my voice a bit hesitent "I think I'll go home a day or two. Any one else want to come? We own part of capsule corp and can afford it." I knew Laos and Ski herd this too. I didn't see them but I knew they came after hereing the explosion too.
There was two reasons I hoped they would come. One I would be able to continue training. And more importantly, My mother would freak when she saw me home after two days with four guys. Hell, she thought I was a slut already what would she do then?
OOC: Sorry I thought it would be fun this way. Nilons parent are named Breifs. The father Stokings and mother Leotard. Hopefully this will be a change of pace.

"Thanks for the offer, Nilons, but I really want to get some training in. I don't have much of a family left, so I don't have anyone to go back too." Seeing the look on Nilon's face, he smiled just a little. "You could say this is all I got left." he finished, his eyes glazing over in a thoughtful look.
After a few moments of silence, Laos spoke again. "Michio... I don't think blowing holes in the floor is exactly the way to go about teaching him to fly. Plus, I don't think Piccolo will be too happy to see this. You should try to clean it up or something. Anyway, your mess, your problem. I've got training to do. Did I mention I can shoot energy now, like you?" he said, suddenly remembering the others didn't know. He wanted to see the impressed looks on their faces.

OOC: This will be my last post until Monday. Take care of Michio for me Kelson and all of you have a good weekend. I know I will surrounded by anime viewing screens, workshops, the dealer's room, svelte female cosplayers...ok too much info.
IC: After looking at the crater and the reactions of the others, I'm understandably wary of Piccolo coming up behind me to make me pay for this. I look at Kelson.
'You know what Kelson? I think it would be a smashing'...Ok, wrong word... 'wonderful idea to go see Nilon's family and place.
Kelson looks up at me with a look of betrayment on his face.
"You don't want to teach me to fly or use weapons don't you?"
'Yes I do Kelson...'
I then notice everyone is listening to our conversation so I turn our backs to them and whispered into his ear.
'I said I would and I will, but not here, not now. Piccolo might get pissed at us screwing up his lookout. I think he's still pissed that I destroyed that one guy's ship. If we leave for now and go to Nilon's house we can practice there and then we won't endanger anyone here as well as being sure that the Lookout isn't damaged anymore. Ok?'
As Kelson thinks this over to give me his reply I motion to Nilons.
'Nilons, if Kelson and I go with you, how are we going to get down from here?'
Nilons produced a little cylindrical tube with a pushdown switch on top.
"With this."
She pressed the button and tossed the cylinder until a little *boom* is heard and a puff of smoke. Out of the haze there's a wierd conveyance that's all red and has *Capsule* written on it and a number. I look at her with awe.
'Wow! Where did you get that? That's incredible!'
"From my father, he's head of Capsule Corp, Dr. Briefs"
'Ok, and what is Capsule Corp?'
Everyone looks at me like I said the Earth was dying in three minutes. Massive sweatdrops formed on everyone's heads and they all fell over as if taken by a strange increase in gravity. Very strange.
OOC: Thought I'd add a little funny. Who knows, perhaps Michio might be able to figure some more stuff out at Nilon's house. Cats, i was wondering. Since this is Capsule Corp we're talking about, does that mean that the technology or at least the information for all the things Bulma and her father created such as the Dragon Radar, Bulma's Saiyan Armor, the Gravity Generator room etc is available to be figured out there? I'm just wondering. I'm sure that tech won't be available to us for a long time, if ever.

OOC: Sorrry last minute idea inviteing people. I just wanted to try a diffrent envorment. And I have been thinking of her family and capsole corp for a long time.
Even though bamd man is gone I'll answer his quetion. The company dose have that stuff she dosen't. Her father is on the board but not the head. He may know of this stuff but dose not have it at this time.
IC: "Well if no ones going with me. Well I still need to go. My mother will probably disown me. I need to be there for her to do that so I'll be going. Feel free to join me if you get bored." If only she would disown me. It would put me out of my missery. All she ever did was say, If you run about they'll take the company away from you. Why the hell did that matter. OOC: I think that after Nilons gets back after visiting her family (And anyone else who's going), I think we might put time in fast forward a few months. So that we don't spend yonks going on about how we train and everything, like we've been doing for a while now. Might skip it forward to when something a bit more exciting happens, and we finally get a chance to test our skills...

"Whatever." he said, half to himself, before flying over to the other side of the island. He was really starting to get used to flying, and it sure was coming in handy.

Ski in "Struggles"
After practicing my Phoenix Flare I headed to bed. Stripping down to my boxer shorts I slipped under the sheets and began to drift off contemplate how in the world was I gonna be able to capitalize on the blinding light to the flare when I can barely move after I do it. HMm maybe a lil work on my cardio and I wil have the energy to capatilalize on the flair.
Suddenly I felt another body in my bed. Tiredly opening one eye I saw that whoever it was it was female in the dark. Wait there is only one chick here and that was Nilons. However before I could even get one dirty thought she jumped out of my bed and said "I'm sorry.......... Um, wrong bed." Replying with sort of a mumble I rolled back over and began to doze back off
I was asleep for a few more minutes when I heard an explosion. Bounding out of bed I realized in my condition I moved too fast. I felt myself about to lose my dinner. While out of the corner of my eye I saw Nilons run the other direction to the door while I headed to bathroom to upchuck. Great this could be be that big bad boogieman that everyone is so siked up to fight and here I am barfing up my guts because I dipped too far on my powerlevels.
Slowing getting back into my gear I made my way up the roof. I was still incredibly weak and using the wall for balance I tried to make my way down the hall but then I saw Nilons coming back so it must have been a false alarm. Forcing myself to get back the room and back into bed before she got back, I prayed no one saw me in this condition after all if there is one thing I have it is my pride.
After practicing my Phoenix Flare I headed to bed. Laos.
Laos turned to see Kelson walking towards him. He stopped his training mid-stance and relaxed into a normal, standing position.
"Hey Kelson. What's up?" Laos asked.
"Hi... Laos, isn't it? Michio has kind of left me, so I was wondering if you could teach me... to fly?" Kelson asked, stopping as he reached Laos.
"Sure, I'd be glad too. But first, you have to start believing in yourself. What you just said... the pause, it shows that you don't think you can fly. I know, it's a natural reaction, that's what I thought at first too. But you need confidence in your own abilities. Anyway, enough with that stuff. Let's give it a go. I want you to take a seat." Laos said, and Kelson obeyed.
"Now, have you ever focused your energy before? I mean, really focused your energy?" Laos asked.
Kelson nodded, closed his eyes, and began to concentrate. Laos could feel that Kelson was ready to try flying.
"Ok," he whispered, trying not to break the other's concentration, "now, feel that energy inside of you? To fly, you need to be able to re-position it. Try to put it underneath you. It's hard to describe, but I want you to give it a go. Once you've done it, you'll know." Laos said, falling into silence as he watched Kelson's attempt.

Nilons in Return to Home
OOC: Nilons being the only one going will make this extremly short. That means we will shortly skip to the good parts. Kelson if your going to train with DW will just say that this is after it.
IC: The next morning I got up. I walked outside, it was a nice sunny day. A cool breaze came from the sky. This was the first day I stoped and looked at the clouds. This high up you could see how fast they move. The only odd thing was how you had to look down at them and not up.
"Yep this place is just to weird. I need this break." I looked back every one I trained with was perseant and acounted for. "So, no ones going to go with me. Are you shure?" It was a pity no one wanted to come. Oh well maybe the'll come next time. Besides if they come next time my mother will go crazy one step at a time. If I'm going to make her sufer I'll do it in parts and not all at once.
I then pulled out the cupsole case. I took out the jet capsole, pushed the button and puff, there was my sky car. I slowly left. Looking behind I saw Laos siting there watching with that cocky half smile, his arms crossed. No way he would miss me. Then I saw Michio, bet he is worried bout that blowing up the spaceship thing. Off in the corner Kelson was already training. Ski well he seemed to be the only noe takeingmy leave of training serously. Wait a minute I never told him I was going only for a day or two. Oh well some one there will tell him. They aren't so soacily inept that they wouldn't.
I sped down the tower from this spot it looked like there was a thin pillar holding it up. "Now why wouldn't this place be on any maps?" Further down there was another building on the tower. "Is there some one liveing there? Oh well on to home."
I hed for easttown. Not the largest town but one of desent size. My home was on the outskirts of town. Skirts.... damn it. I left my skirt up there. Oh well just another thing for her to be mad about. I landed on the helipad, like nothing had happened.
Calmly walking to the front door, I noticed how green the grass looked. I had no idea how much I missed home. I rang the dorr bell. I figured this would be more dramatic then useing my key. The door slowly swung open. There was a tall man with black hair and a cane. "Hi Dad, did you miss me?"
My dad looked down at me his eyes opened wide. "thank god your back Nilons. Leotard hurry down here Nilons is back."
