The exact details of the story we can craft together, but the overall narrative would cast our characters as a group of spies operating within the Tevinter Imperium in the months prior to the emergence of the Sixth Blight. What is different about this Blight is the faint possibility that it may be man-made -- that one of the Tevinter magisters may indeed have bent an Old God to his or her will.
Our characters come from different walks of life, but we have all suffered misfortune and found ourselves neck-deep in the black markets of Minrathous. Whether through slavers, pirates, mercenaries, smugglers, thieves, bandits, assassins, or brothels, we have all become associates of Red Jack, a foul-mouthed up-and-coming crime lord who I am modeling after Samuel L. Jackson.
Red Jack recruits us to form his House of Spiders, which grows into a wide network of spies charged with gathering intelligence on the shady dealings of the noble families and other crime lords of Tevinter so that such information can be used for blackmail if needed or sold to the highest bidders. Then eventually the plot thickens as we begin to uncover the plot to manufacture the Sixth Blight in a bid to restore the Imperium to it's former glory with an army of darkspawn under it's control. This scheme may or may not include the adult son of Morrigan and the Hero of Ferelden, the child who Morrigan said would be born with the soul of an Old God.
I am open to ideas and characters.
