Draft page issue - problem in editing

It seems that when editing in draft mode, the cursor often bounces back to the top of the page. I think I've noticed that before, but it seems to be happening more often now. Am I perhaps hitting the wrong key? I think in a few cases it goes to the bottom of the page instead.

Problem editing draft

I've been trying to post a new story -- something I've done many times -- but having entered the story text and a description, I'm stuck. I can't add anything to the 'admin comment', can't edit the description, can't add tags.

For example, in the 'comment' section, as I type characters only some are accepted, no matter how slowly I type. The cursor seems to bounce around and characters disappear, or appear in random places.

The same thing happens in other editable fields. This is Win7/64 using Firefox 84.0 (the latest as I write this) with no add-ins.

Is this a known issue? Any suggestions (besides 'try another browser')?

Google Chrome seems less buggy and more reliable than Firefox, which used to be better but hasn't been recently. However, so far Firefox is mostly okay with Literotica. However, when dealing with sites with lots of video ads, it tends to get bollixed up and has to be restarted.

What is Windows 7/64 as opposed to just Windows 7? After the holidays, I have to upgrade out of Windows 7. I've heard conflicting opinions about that: it should be done by a professional versus it could be done by the user. I have to research that more.

The last time I had to replace the operating system. I took the tower into Best Buy and had them do it. They also put in Webroot anti-virus software which seems to be more dependable. I'd like to get a whole new computer but I can't afford it now.

Thanks

I won't use anything Google unless there's no alternative. I installed the latest Opera version (very nice) and it solved this issue. I'll stick with FF for daily use, though.

Win 7/64 is the 64-bit version of Windows 7, which also has a /32 bit version.

Are you going to replace Windows 7 now that it is no longer supported? I've heard conflicting info about that: it can be done by the user versus having a professional who should do it. I have to research that more after the holidays. I assume the replacement would have to be Windows 10, but I haven't heard much about that one yet.

I'll have to give Opera a try.

I won't replace Win7 until I must, maybe when some required program needs it.

Supposedly the change from 7 to 10 is as smooth as MS can make it, but there are often issues with drivers for the odd bit of hardware when changing OSes. The more vanilla your setup, the easier it should be.
