Since it is getting dark I put the office lights on

I make another pot of coffee and wait for my first patient.

Day 2

I walk in and put the orange lighted "Open" sign in the upstairs window, go to my patient book and look at the blank pages. Make another pot of coffee and sit and wait, promising myslef not to get discouraged. Remember it sometimes takes time to build a patient base in a new location.

"Were you not in my lounge this pass week ? did it not suit your needs or desires?"

I turn on the light in the office as it is now going from light to dark

I turn on the lights on the 3rd floor office. I look out in the street below from the large picture windows wondering if anyone is ever coming up the stairs. Thank goodness I did not hire a receptionist. I pour out the remainder of todays coffee and make another pot as it has the makings of another long and lonely night.

Day 3

I awaken at 4:30am, shower and put on clean clothes, go to the kitchen make a fresh pot of coffee and go into the main office. I turn over yesterdays blank page in my appointment book, sit down at my desk and pick up the book where I left off last evening and read and wait for the sounds of footsteps on the wooden stairs.

Sens walks back in the door as she sees a light on from above .

She walks quietly trying not to awake whoever is in the place.

She sees a pot of coffe and a nice comfy chair , she makes herself a cup and sits down.

I smile at you and say "hello and it is very nice to meet you. I have a platter of freshly baked cinnamon buns with gooey white icing. I am Dr Jonathin and may I offer you a roll to go with your coffee? I sit down at my desk as you sit in the leather chair in front. "How may I be of service?

And it was only a question as I hand you a plate to put the cinnamon roll open. I pour you a cup of coffee and place the cream and sugar and two spoons on the desk in case you use it.
I want to apologise if you thought I was being forward. In my last practice before I moved here, I never had any social guests so this is a very nice change. I certainly enjoy your company as well. I am sure you have heard it a thousand times, but you have the most beautiful eyes. What are your favorite subjects to talk about?

Closing for the night

I empty and clean the coffee pot and go through and turn out the lights. I go to the desk and pick up the plate and cup that Sens had used. I smile and think "that was so nice of her to just stop in today. I do hope she stops back again. I carry the dishes to the kitchen and put them in the dishwasher. I look around and turn off the light. Goodnight.

I come out of the bedroom

I prepare for Day 4 and what is this on the floor. I open it and a party inviation and not just a run of the mill party, look at this very expensive gold paper. I read it and wonder at its mystery. I smile and say out loud to myself. Thank you and I will definitely check into this. In the meantime the coffee is finished and I put the Open sign in the window and sit back and wait, yet again.

Day 5

The only visitor I had yesterday was the mysterious woman with the Club inviation. I can only hope today is better, although I am still disappointed that I did not get to see whomever was here.

Another totally unbusy day, but promises myself not to get discouraged. It takes time go get a good practice going. I go into the kitchen and prepare dinner, turning on the Open sign as it is now dark. You never know who might stop by on a Friday evening.

Thought I heard something

As I quickly dress and rush out, I again find the office empty. I see a note that Elysene14 had stopped in but did not leave a message on the pad. I go and make coffee and hope that someone will come by today. I again sit down and begin to study where I left off yesterday.

The Office is again open

After a brief vacation, I move back in to see what strangers appear. I expect it to be a long winter but the office is always warm and the coffe hot. So please enter and let us discuss together whatever path you would like to travel down.

As I walk along the path to emptyness I stroll upon a building the smell of coffee I gathered , I followed it slowly leading me where I was once before not to long ago.

I walk up the long stairway entering into the room , looking about to see If the Doc was in or not.

I couldn't see him anyhwere so I left him a friendly gesture on his pot.

"Dear Doc, Thank you once more for the invite , I am sad that you are not here maybe someday we can be near ech other."

The Relaxation Lounge is now open

After my long sabatical, I open the front door. I look around at the familiar room and see empty coffee cups and old outdated newspapers lying around.
I spend the next two hours, cleaning and picking up. Just as I finish there is a knock at the door and as I open it, two men carry in a brand new dark brown leather couch. They set it down in the middle of the room and this is where my guests can now relax. I go to the kichen and find the familiar coffee pot and wash it and make a brand new pot. I then go to the wood stove and fill it with wood and soon the fire burns brightly warming the room as the smell of coffee permeates the room. I walk to the window and turn the sign to open and then go sit at my desk with a brand new novel. "yes I think, life is grand. Now I only need my first visitor.

I put on a fresh pot of coffee and sit and wait. It is only a matter of time before a new patient arrives. I again put the OPEN sign in the window.
