That hasn't happened with me, at least not yet after four plus years. To be fair, I don't get to stop in a whole lot due to my work schedule and various outside activities. Shoot, I'm only on today because I have days off I have to burn up before the end of the year, else I lose them (and I ain't losing them ). So maybe it's a good thing I'm essentially a part-time Litser, and I haven't gotten burned out by the site.

how many you ever wish you'd never stumbled upon the forums here?
Has the "enlightenment" that you've received been a blessing or a curse?
Have you thought that leaving Lit might bring you some peace, then realize that the door that was opened can never truly be shut again?

I like the forums and I've never wished I'd never stumbled upon them. They've been entertaining and enticing.

I wouldn't say I've been enlightened by coming here - so in that aspect it hasn't been either a blessing or a curse. (I look at enlightenment with a big E and that is a very long journey on the wheel of Samsara - and as a human being, I've still got a long ways to go there.)

I think of my footprint on Lit as being "light" - I come and go according to my moods and the rhythms of my life outside of the tiny little world that are the forums here.

Peace isn't something that comes to me from an external source and it is rarely influenced by external sources - and when it is, I try and recognize that's just me buying the illusion and let it go.

• Lit has caused me to covet my neighbors (so to speak) wife ~Curse~
• Lit has been a refuge at times ~Blessing~
• Lit has stolen time from my RL that I'll never recover ~Curse~

So, it's a mixed bag. To paraphrase Winston Churchill, I'd say that I have taken more good from Lit than Lit has taken from me. I think I'm a better person for what I've learned and experienced here. So, no, I'm glad I stumbled across this place . . . 33k posts ago
