When I was a boy, door to door salespeople were pretty common. Hell even the paperboy and mail carrier came to the door. I sold stuff to raise money for schools. Mom sold Avon, the neighbor lady did Tupperware, the guy down the street did Amway.
So I'm thinking about a woman who sells Avon. She sets up these parties and a half dozen ladies would show up and get the sales pitch.
But she also sells something else on the side. Back then, ladies novelties weren't an Amazon order or a trip to Adam and Eve, away.
After the wine is flowing and everyone's laughing and having a good time, she brings out the 'other' case.
Of course a demonstration is in order.
