Door Open, Or Closed?

This a privacy thing. When you're at home with your SO, do you shut the door when you're in the bathroom? I know some couples that never shut the door, which really bugs me. It used to drive some GFs nuts because I shut the door. I was raised that the bathroom is a private place, and the door should be closed out of politeness for the others in the house.
So, which way does your door swing?

Depends on who else is around, if it's cold, if the curtains are open, what I'm doing in there.

If I really don't want to be disturbed, I'll lock the door.

Camping out....

I like to sit in there and read my motorcycle books, have some coffee, radio on. When growing up, it used to be a daily ritual to beat our dad in there first, because he read all sections of the paper, had coffee, and a cigarette. My exGFs use to think I was beating off, hah! If I wanted to beat off, I'd wait till they slept with their mouths open!

*Don't you just hate it when you go to pee, and the sink is full of dishes?

if it's just honey and I, which is rare, I leave the door open. Depending on what I'm doing. Usually, though, he and I wake up, use the washroom, and shower together, being together for the entire process... and often when one of us has to go, well.. we're pretty inseparable.

But it doesn't bother us, so that's how we do it.

I grew up in a house that had only two interior doors. Both in the bathroom. Neither of them ever used. It wasn't even a second thought to close the bathroom door, it was always left open. My sister and I had some great heart to heart talks when I would take a bath. Privacy just wasn't an issue, neither was modesty as we didn't even realize that one should be modest. Even now, I have to think to close the bathroom door when I have company over.
