Don't you just love a morning when

The sun slowly brightens the surroundings only to reveal a fog as thick as pea soup?? The kind where you go out to walk the dog, and turn around to find that you can't even see your house? It's almost enough to put me in a good mood today....... almost. So tranquil, so quiet..... It's as if you could just disappear into thin air....

Yes, I love such mornings and can't wait for them start in northern new york.

It is rainy and overcast, but warm, nonetheless.

Even the rain won't dampen my spirits. Spring is here!

I love those mornings. The air seems so clean and everything just smells good.

i've always been fond of foggy days...i'd rather not drive in it but it is fascinating...there's some sort of mystery that i really don't understand...it's like playing hide and seek as a kid or maybe hiding in the fort you made behind the garage...maybe it's because you feel like you can hide from the world for a while...i know that there have been lots of studies done on the impact of rain on people...have there been studies done on fog?

I think it is the total tranquility you mentioned, S, that makes such a morning almost surreal. You want to bottle it and just preserve it for times when you need that.:)

It's preferred by two out of three crazed British serial killers, but the East End prostitutes weren't such huge fans. :D

LOL....liked that one, J :D

I keep forgetting to tell you I love your sig line. The best Batman episodes was with Catwoman..Julie Newmarr..not Eartha Kitt.

JazzManJim... anyone ever tell you that you are a bit odd?

Though we like them that way.

Wait...there was some other Catwoman other than Julie Newmar???

(Wait..hang on smartasses. Yes, I know that Eartha Kitt and Lee Meriweather also played her. I was making a sarcastic statement to emphasize the superior nature of Julie's portrayal of....oh never mind....). :)

And thank you, hon. Let me just say that your "location" line drives me crazy everytime I see it. It sounds exactly where I want to be...

<GASP!>

Odd?? Odd?? Me?

Normal ol' me!

The guy voted "Most Likely to Become a Baptist Preacher" in high school? The guy who still has yet to have anal sex? The guy who didn't get his first blowjob until he was 28? The guy who listened to classical music and oldies into his early 20s before he finally discovered jazz and funk? That boring ol' guy?

I'm positively vanilla whitebread ya know. ;)

I had forgotten about Lee Meriweather, maybe that is because her performance was just awful..I had blocked it out.:D Julie was just pure sex in that outfit and that voice..wow. Look who she had to play off of and she played the sex kitten to perfection!!

Wish I could take credit for this location since so many people have commented on it. But I can't. Someone sent it to me a couple weeks ago and graciously allowed me to use it in my location. He prefers to remain nameless.

Oh I'd not ask you to divulge a confidence. :)

Though you can't take credit for originating it, you can certainly take credit for giving it life and realism. It suits you entirely, and you wear it very well. :)

Oh, and to keep this on the topic of fog, here's an important safety note.

If it's really, really foggy, and you suddenly hear Adrienne Barbeau's voice:

RUN!!!

One last side bar...I saw that movie at the drive in. Scared the shit out of me. :D

Yes, this is a morning that begs you to crawl back into bed, take your lover in your arms and make love all day.

Or, you wait until an hour later and then get up to blue sky and bright sunshine. :)

I love a heavily fogged morning... especially in a forest. On a morning like that, I could swear I'd wandered into Middle Earth, Narnia, or some other such place.

Chey, you get up too late!!

7:30 is a perfect time to get up on a Saturday. If my cats let me sleep that long, that is.
