I don't understand this role playing thing...do you read what's been written then add you thoughts and feeling to it? Can some one give me a clue?

Hello there, let me as a RP addict answer that for you ...
There is a nice essay (if I may say so - I wrote it after alll *lol*) around here on Literotica and you can eg. find it right in the very first thread on the SRP BB .
A guide to RP
The idea basically is to "adopt" a character and then play/write the role as if you were playing "on stage", you write your characters actions, feelings, reactions.
Usually each participant plays a certain role/character and doesn't act for other chracters in the thread but mainly for him/herself.
If you want to jump in you best read the so far written posts, think about a figure you want to introduce and then do just that - type an introduction.
