Um.
Is this the proper time to pull out a "Houston, we have a problem" reference?

Too late. The rockets have already fired and you're going in the wrong direction . . . . :p

Got any two week old celery or pomekiwis for sale? ;)
For you, darling? Anything, anything.
Let me show you the marvelous selection of handcrafted letter-openers I just got in. They're each one-of-a-kind, made with the recycled, chewed pencils of school children! Nice and sharp! Destined to make a cameo on an episode of CSI:Miami someday.

Oh hush. You secretly love it when I, um...fire and flare.

The scene: A posh apartment in Miami.

"Looks like murder Sarge. Bled like a stuck pig."

"Right Gonzales, what's that in his back?"

"Why it's one of those one-of-a-kind letter openers made with recycled, chewed pencils of school children."

"Damn, you're right. Only one shop in the city sells those things. Bring that Dumbbell dame in for questioning."

"Uh Sarge, her name is Bluebell."

"Whatever. Get her ass to headquarters now! Where's those CSI geeks anyway?"

Fadeout/ Commercial.

Funny. I thought it was the other way around ;)

Fine. We'll watch each other.

Excellent. :D
I think you missed your calling as a TV writer. Quick, move to LA while the strike is fresh!

Okay. You bring the hot chocolate. I'll bring other stuff.
That sounded bad.

Ooooooh, a food thread!!!

My advice:

Never eat a soggy banana.

They are "hard" to finish eatin (pun)

And if they start dribblin all over the place, they are really no fun to eat no more.

To sum it up:
Soggy bananas don't make my lips hard.

I like it with the cheese sauce, but its hard to say with your mouth full.

Try it the next time you're in bed.

Oooo, just the thing for Christmas gift giving! I'll take a dozen!

You really are just too quaint sometimes.

I've heard of pole sitters as well...do they ban that phrase? How about pollsters?

Score!
Tomorrow I'll have my genetically engineered pinking shears wrap them up and send them over to you (don't worry. I'll make sure his "gloves" are on so he doesn't cut funny looking edges on everything).

Quaint? Heh. Perhaps not the word other people would have landed upon. ;)

I think pole smoker was the only one that had to do with...poles.
But there were lots of other dirty ones there. And my boss said them all out loud and giggled with me.

I hadn't heard "pole smoker" either. I like it, tho. I think I'll try to use it today.

Ok, well, what about in car racing when they say the guy starting out in first is "on the pole"? Is that acceptable?

Lure them in with a sausage.

Isn't the issue about the term based on the involvement of a sausage?

Edit to add: I imagine that they also ban any references to hiding the sausage...just doesn't sound very Kosher, does it?

No. Because there's only one goober gobbler (you) and very likely lotssssssss of pole smokers (possibly the rest of humanity). Although according to the transitive property, you could be both, seeing as you're a human.
You are a human, right?

Define 'human.'

A noble goal. Brings a whole new twist to the word games on Sesame Street. Then again, maybe that would fit in just fine seeing as Sesame Street is no longer so suitable for small children.

And as an aside, I think I've been irreparably damaged by watching the movie Follow That Bird because of the way Chevy Chase says "Ses-aim-ee Street". That's all I can think when I see the two words together now.

I'm gonna have to go with no, kittyhead. Racing suuuucks. :D

Perhaps just sausage-like objects. And their corresponding...bits. Which may or may not be attached to that same body; perhaps the body of another personoid.

I was looking at some pics of a lady cutting some recipes out of a magazine when I saw one which I thought would be great for Bluebells Famous Cookin And Punin Thread.

I circled the recipe title in red for you, if you are not wearing your glasses it says:

"FIRST, STRANGLE YOUR GOOSE"
You're so industrious, Lisa.
Here, come help me with the raspberries.
