Don't Park Your Damn Car In A Bike Lane

Can I adopt him, please? Or at least give him a holiday in London?

Yayyyy! I will also adopt him, especially if he will help me key up the car driven by mean motorists who shouted at Piglet while she was learning to ride her bike on small supposedly quiet roads near our house.

I prefer the Estonian method of dealing with cars parked where they shouldn't be: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V-fWN0FmcIU

:D

And that mayor even rides a little foldup bike himself! I am having such a time trying to make the school where I am governor use bikes more. What is the point of having 'bike it breakfast' when you have a cycle shed that is so badly sited the bikes get regularly stolen from it  We have an olympic hopeful budding cyclist but he of course never ever brings his top dollar bike to school! He comes in on a skateboard :D

Ah, but the bike-shed idea dates back to a time when theft was not as prevalent. The shed (well, behind it) was also a good place at which little miscreants were often taught a lesson.

That video reminds me of when I was in college and one of my roommates was giving me a ration of crap about something. He had a small car like the one in the video (anyone remember the GLC?)

So when he tried to leave to go to class I lifted the back of his car and the tires just spun in the air (if you had a GLC you might remember it was rear wheel drive). Everyone watching was laughing like crazy until the bumper I used as a handle to lift the car, tore off. The car dropped. The rear tires bit into the ground. And I was nearly run over.

What a stupid thing to do! How could I not realize that trying to stop a car this way was a really bad idea?

Does anyone want to adopt me?
