I'm new to this place. Am a 22 y/o female and want to get into taking photos and what not. Thing is I dont have anyone to take them for me. Is there any pointers than any of you can give me to taking photos of myself?

have a look at elvin angel, i think she uses video, also pics can be captured from a webcam if you have one, and of course theres always standing infront of the mirrow with your digi cam...!

well, the best way to learn is experiment....

if you have a tripod and a camera with delayed shot, you can begin experimenting with a pillow for calculate the proportions and then begin to take photos of yourself.

Just take a look at my thread all of mine are self taken. A tripod and timer are the keys. And mirrors can be a great help as well.

The best thing about digi-cams is that you can shoot all day and not waste film. It takes a while to figure out the angles and the pics probably won't be as good as if someone is shooting for you. But we won't complain, honest! Good luck, don't leave us in suspense. You've already got me musing about 22 year old island girls...
