Don't feed the cat when you're still asleep

For all the new kitten owners- a hint for the day:

I just got up from a long afternoon nap, stumbled to the kitchen, got out the cat food container, fed the cats, and promptly dropped the rest of the food all over the kitchen floor. It is round, pellet shaped. It rolls well!

And the hint is, don't feed the cat when you're still asleep.

Watch your feet while you sleep. For some reason the mistake them for scratching posts

Ha! My cat just circled the pile when I swept it together, trying to decide what this strange thing might be in the middle of her kitchen floor.

I keep my kitties hungry.

It's useful for me because I can use food as a motivator when I train them to stand and kiss.

I feed them IAMs. It is not rolly polly.

I cheat. I don't claim the cat. Therefore I don't feed her. The little blond child begged for her, so the little blond child feeds her. Easy as pie. Anything that gets spilled, either the blond child picks up or the dogs gobble down before she gets the chance to.

Let them eat as much as they want, you mean? Well, they sort of do that now. Except they like FRESH food in their bowls so I try not to overfeed.

My aunt used to do that with her cat.
It was 47 pounds, 3 ounces when it died.

In my "sleep walk" first thing I do is let the cats out.
They are never gone for more than an hour. So, I've had my coffee, washed my face and feel much better when I change their water and fill their bowls
