Former President Donald Trump’s potential return to the Oval Office will include an effort to purge the unaccountable administrative state that creates and directs vast amounts of far-left policy in the federal government, a report Friday by Axios detailed.

If reelected in 2024, Trump is planning to cut about 50,000 administrative state employees to rein in unelected technocrats in federal government agencies that have great influence over policies impacting American workers, according to the outlet.

"The impact could go well beyond typical conservative targets such as the Environmental Protection Agency and the Internal Revenue Service,” the report explained. “Trump allies are working on plans that would potentially strip layers at the Justice Department — including the FBI, and reaching into national security, intelligence, the State Department and the Pentagon, sources close to the former president say.”

The term administrative state specifically describes the phenomenon of unaccountable and unelected administrative agencies exercising power to create and enforce their own rules.

Damn right, it needs to happen if we ever expect to bring the administrative state back to within the regulatory boundaries of their enabling legislation.

He promised this last time.

And mexico will build the wall

And he will repeal Obamacare

Good luck on your expectations

Happens after every election everywhere.

Out with the opposition, in with your loyalists.

You boobs treat it as unique to Trump.

What’s unique about Trump is he says it.

Most politicians will dance around with their passive aggressive lies.

That’s his appeal. That’s why half the country thinks he’s the answer.

So his goal is to gut departments and branches resulting in a far weaker government so that next election would be his to manipulate and voila-he’s president for life. Sounds like a plan, yah?

Cool story bro. You should write it and see if someone will publish. Who knows, you could be the next Tom Clancy.

Isn't the country great since Biden took over? From botched Afghanistan withdrawal onward, it's been one fuck up after another. That's what happens when you hijack an election and then appoint officials by sex and gender vs ability. However, the ability part was still bad, he just made it worse.

Maybe we will get a real investigation after November - if we make that far!

it’s true though, and you know it.
We need people in government who remember their place vis a vis their employers the American people. We need dedicated government employees who understand they are serving the American people, not themselves. Trump's goal is to thin out the administrative state and bring it back under manageable control. The agencies of the government have to be responsive to the goals and policies of its elected leaders and operate within the constraints of its enabling legislation. It cannot be a political force unto itself or be at odds with either. Remember these people are not elected they cannot have a political agenda. The American people decide the politics on election day.

And now today we find out that almost half of the small businesses in the US have frozen their hiring. We are either already in a recession or it's looming right in front of us.

Trump's goal was to gut the administrative state and milk this country into his own coffers, basically fleece every citizen in this country for his own enrichment. Like every banana-republic dictator everywhere. You can't serously be that stupid not to have realized that by now. Trump and his henchmen were not serving the American people, they were robbing the American people and serving themselves. If you can't see that- seriously, how about you send me your life savings and I'll take care of it for you and manage your money for you. There is this sweet car I saw in one of the "Brains n' Boobs" threads I've always wanted...

How does lowering taxes, bringing jobs home, highest employment for minorities in history, and losing 1 $billion of his own money factor into that theory? pretty creative ...

Trump loves his country and wanted to give back. Pretty simple. look at the politician's net worth before Trump, before they took office and after, if you want to see thievery. Clinton's and Obama - geesh!

It's not a plot if it's right out there in plain sight, it's a plan. And as far as I'm concerned it's a damned good plan and long overdue.

This winnowing of the chaff needs to take place, not necessarily from a political standpoint but from a financial standpoint. Virtually every year the various government departments and bureaus get a raise indexed to inflation. They haven't been required to submit a zero based budget in I don't know how many decades. They get what they got last year plus x% more. The raise is automatic and is not based on needs. Consequently all of the various government drones, along with the outrageous benefits, are being paid way above their private sector counterparts. This is upside down economics. The prior model was that the government employee received less day to day financial compensation and this was offset by the generous benefits. Further, these bloated budgets lead to some highly questionable spending. For example, why does the IRS need 40 million rounds of ammunition? And that's just one example. If you have the time go to the various government websites and read through the RFQ's and/or contract awards. Some of the items are beyond stunning.

Continuing with the financial angle. I'll use round numbers for this example just for simplicity.

Let's say a dept. has an annual budget of $1 million bucks. They're coming up on the end of the fiscal year and their projections are that they're only going to be spending $800 thousand. Under the current rules that leftover $200 thousand is returned to the treasury and their next years budget will be $800 thousand plus the x% raise that congress gives them. No responsible(?) dept. head is going to allow that to happen so they start spending that $200 thousand on whatever their fevered mind can come up with. They are rarely called upon to justify those expenditures. They don't care that the money is your money (the taxpayer), all they care about is making sure their dept. doesn't take a hit.

We still had a coup d'etat attempt by the previous administration. Quite frankly I'm happy that we withdrawed Afghanistan it's the fault of bush, and we've just been kicking the can down the line but big dick Biden over here decided enough was enough.

He should have done it the first time, then again, most of these people are in a union and that protection racket would put a fly in his ointment...

Biden beat him to it.

The US has a long history of rendering the military so impotent that other powers take advantage of us.

We used to be able to tool back up quickly, but the Red-Greens are bound and determined to stop that industrial ability dead in its tracks.
