He told the story when he was talking about what the former mayor of San Francisco told him about Kamala Harris:

“I went down in a helicopter with him," Trump said. "We thought maybe this is the end. We were in a helicopter going to a certain location together, and there was an emergency landing. This was not a pleasant landing, and Willie was, he was a little concerned."

One of the more jaw-dropping moments of Trump's press conference was when he described a helicopter ride with Harris' ex-boyfriend, Willie Brown, who is the former Democratic Speaker of the California Assembly, that supposedly had to make an emergency landing. However, the Times later reported that it wasn't Willie Brown in. the helicopter with Trump, but former California Democratic Governor Jerry Brown, and no emergency landing was required. Brown told the paper there was no mention of Harris on that helicopter flight.

I suspect you left out the part about Trump confusing Willie Brown and Jerry Brown on purpose??? No???

🤔

Donald confused Willie Brown with Jerry Brown in a fabricated helicopter story.

Donald also conflates asylum seeking immigrants with an insane asylum in his weird Hannibal Lecter story.

Is there a medical term for a mental condition that causes a person to confuse completely different things based on one word?

Saw lots of side by side pictures. : )

Some people will still defend Trump. No one on the right here has addressed it when I mentioned it earlier.

Imagine if President Biden had told such an egregious lie / made such an egregious error???

🤔

🤬

that'd be 'ignorance', a medical condition easily alleviated by the regular daily intake of real literature and a familiarising oneself with SCI_ENCE and MATH

Donald Trump has a history of lying about helicopter crashes: "I can get some publicity out of this!"
nothing he does now surprises me, only deepens the levels of my disdain for him:
As I first reported on at HuffPost eight years ago, multiple reports suggest Trump fabricated a near-death experience following the death of a Mormon executive in his employ—a man who also happened to be a close friend of his—saying to percipient eyewitnesses within mere seconds of learning that his friend had been killed, “I can get some publicity out of this.”

In the book, presumably intended by candidate Trump to bolster his then-slumping 2016 bid for the presidency, the businessman detailed for Kranish and Fisher his 1989 reaction to the death by helicopter crash of three Trump-company executives: Mark Etess, Jonathan Benanav and Stephen Hyde, the last of these a Mormon father of seven considered the mastermind of Trump’s Atlantic City casino empire and, at the time of his death, president of the Trump Plaza Hotel and Casino.

For years, Trump has insisted that he was slated to be on Hyde’s helicopter the day it crashed—in fact, he told CNN at the time that it was “like a fifty-fifty deal”....the three men killed in 1989 were “top” Trump casino executives according to the reports of the time, Trump’s reaction to their death surely confirmed he felt nothing for them.

As Andrew Kaczynski and Mark Acre of Buzzfeed reported years ago, not just one or two but three biographies of Trump—all citing multiple sources—allege that not only was Trump never slated to be on the helicopter on which Hyde and several others died, he in fact deliberately exploited Hyde’s death as part of a ploy to build publicity and generate profit for himself and his companies.

No this is more than ignorance. The man has real mental health issues.

OMG! Almost died in a helicopter crash!!!

This is even more shocking than when Lit's Saint_Ann claimed he had cancer!

Reality is apparently too boring for Deplorables and does not garner enough personal attention for them.

Well apparently his tin can plane had to be diverted because of some mechanical issue. That'll be the new harrowing experience for him to lie about.

There's another post out there on the web that claims it was with Newsome during a flyover of wildfire areas.

That ^ could easily have been staged to draw attention from the "helicopter" story (LIE.).

Juuuust a bit too coincidental, imho.

😑

The felon insists he was right, says "It was brown."

Someone should tell him it's rude to refer to someone as 'it'.

Trump remembers going down in a helicopter and may have been with someone who was brown. But it was an Epstein flight...
