of becoming the next president of the USA

As a brit watching his announcement yesterday i couldn't help but think he has a chance.

Yanks have voted for film stars before, why not a very wealthy reality tv star
A bank balance that will allow him not to be bought and an interest in keeping obama care and social security

surely the 66/1 odds currently available in the UK would be a good outside bet

or am i totally wrong

He does not. He's too much a doofus, though no more than our current or previous president. The guy knows finance and that's a big problem in our country. But it's not just a finance problem here. We've got all sorts of issues and he would look ridiculous as our nation's representative.

I wouldn't go that far. He's gone through bankruptcy several times, and about half of his business ventures fail.

What he knows, is how to slip away with other people's money. Trump is first and foremost, a salesman.

Isn't that, by definition, finance? :)

Only 66/1? I wouldn't bet on him at 6,666/1. Save your money.

Trump's toupee for president!

I'd take just about anyone over Christie, tbh.

Seeing the average American voter...I would say he has a very good chance of winning..he stands against Mexicans and Chinamen...that is gonna get him some mileage:D

Does he have a chance? Of course he does. But 18 months is a lifetime in politics so I wouldn't be putting any cash on the line for ANYONE right now.

I notice JS jumped on the bankruptcy thing. First of all he never filed for personal bankruptcy, it was all businesses. He's used the law quite effectively to reduce debt and free up capital, just like scores of other concerns have done. It doesn't even reflect bad management, especially in the highly volatile real estate business. (Something that millions of Americans can relate to now.)

He is certainly going to be shaping the debates. His plain-spokenness resonates with a LOT of Americans. In many respects he reminds me of Perot without the paranoia. He's going to take a heavy toll on the mealy-mouthed wafflers that use a lot of words to say nothing.

yeah this is what i was thinking might be the case

I'm just raggin on youse Americans...it seems that every presidential election some real cookoos come out of the woodwork..freaking hilarious

Trump is a DUMMOH and a ClitMan supporter

Is running to garner votes from REPOZ so CuntClinton wins

Is it possible? Sure. He'll have his followers, but his unfiltered mouth will scare off a lot of republicans and independents.

I would love to see a Trump/Christie "debate"! I'd take bets on how quickly it devolves into the two of them calling each other names.

He'll run on his business acumen, but then opponents will point out his multiple business bankruptcies. If they are smart there will be TONS of adds with him acting like the asshole he is with tag lines like "Is this the kind of man you want running the country?" if it ever gets that far.

I don't really think he's serious. He's just an egomaniac who thinks because he has money and fame and can stick his nose where it doesn't belong. I don't think he'll go the distance.

That would be an amusing pissing contest.

What's striking about Trump is how much -- for all his wealth and accomplishment -- he mostly just sounds like a garden-variety know-nothing yahoo spouting shit on a message board or running his mouth at the local pub.
