I know a "Friend" who has to Iron his clothes amongst other things.

For the Women Domme's what de-domestification or Handy Man stuff have you had to do.

Well, recenly it was my hsband, who is the top, who was doing more of the husehold chores. I typically have done more of the stuff related to remodeling, like painting the living room and ripping up the carpet in the downstairs.

LOL I can't think of anything, really. I have had to mow the lawn a few times, but that's rare, cause it gives me such bad allergy attacks. Frankly, that's one of the reasons I'm married. So I dont' have to do all that! (Well, not really, but it's a nice added benefit.)

I don't do that shit because I'm not especially suited to it and that's why I have slaves. I don't especially care for the "girly" shit either - I cook and M cleans, although I like scrubbing my own bathroom for de-stress.

Frankly, I don't think that housework has a genetic component. Anyone can learn to do it with proper motivation, whether it's pleasing someone or pleasing yourself.

I can build furniture, I am not scared of table saws nor of welding torches (well, not that in love with those either) and I learned how to use those in college, not because I had any pants wearers around to teach me.

When my lover and I bought a house together, I discovered I'd inherited a never ending list of chores. Joy.

We divide the majority of the chores up into a four part roster and rotate who is doing them each week. So the four of us manage to keep the place pretty well tidy without it being too much of a hassle. That includes cleaning, cooking and so on.

I tend to get the jobs like changing light bulbs, cleaning out the gutters, sweeping the drive way and so on. Anything that needs a big smelly brute to get it done.

Rhis summer when I was working in the Uk I had to live with 5 other girls in one house(thank god we had 2 separate bedrooms tho) and I mawned the lawn (I lost a bet so had to do it). Hated it..but still better than cleaning the bathroom..you've no idea how dirty it can be after a Saturday night out when all 6 of us tried to prepare ourselves at the same time

I have found there is a large number of women who dont do or want to do the typical woman stuff. No cooking, sewing, will only sometimes do the dishes.

Sewing is a lost art and it's fucking hard. I can make a dovetail joint, but I can't even thread a sewing machine, really.

Cooking, I love. But it brings out a competitive nastiness in me, I love hearing "God this is fucking good" and I hear it almost every time I make something. I cook to feel on top of my game. I cook to impress people and to leave an impression on the senses. I enjoy cooking like I enjoy Topping, it *forces a reaction* in loved ones.

Who the hell wants to do dishes?

Sewing is a lost art and it's fucking hard. I can make a dovetail joint, but I can't even thread a sewing machine, really.

Ooooh, something I'm better at that Netzach! Wow! I can do both, or rather I have done both. But I haven't done any woodwork or any sewing in years.

I have friends who sew for fun... they make ball gowns, constumes, that sort of thing. But then I hang out with a bunch of SF and Fantasy nuts, so you get that.

Another friend of mine runs a business making costumes for a local theatre company, and I got her to make me a gorgeous black silk pirate shirt at one point.

So the art of sewing hasn't disappeared. It's just become a hobby.

I made my eigth grade graduation dress... I still fit in it too... it's cute, babydoll style with bunching all along the top and it can be worn ont ehe shoudlers or off the shoulders...

I jsut picked up crochet too which i've mentioned a bajillion times before, but i finally finished the scarf i made my mom...

about 20 years ago..... I made my own costume for holloween. Lied back then and said my Mom had made it. The woman I was with would not sew. I lost interest in her after that. There are certain typical traits I want in a woman.

I expect now that a woman have some amount of typical feminine traits. I actually now am looking for more then ever before. I feel if I can do it the woman in my life should be able to do it at least as well or better.

I dont mind sharing the reponsibilities but I am less inclined to now that I am getting older. The sharing has not worked in the last 20 years. This also gets back to the submissiveness. A submisive woman is more likely to have the feminine traits as well.

You might be more inclined to get with a woman who likes to sew if you are direct about liking to sew, not alluding to some "feminine trait" do you think I am better at dishes or enjoy doing them more simply because I have a vagina? I hate it as much as you or anyone else I know.

If you get with a submissive woman who responds to you as a Dominant, she's more likely to want to please you, whether that means sewing or fighting off the possums in the dumpster with a stick. I agree. The truth is that i"m very strong in the domestic abilities. It has nothing whatsoever to do with me being a woman, and everything to do with that's how I was brought up. It also has to do with that makes K happy, for me to keep the house clean, to mend his clothes, etc. If it made him happy for me to mow the lawn, I'd probably do that instead. If he wanted me to . . . change the oil, I might learn that instead.

Possums are NYC subway rats ya know....no one can tell me different.
Anyway...i was raised by a man who knew that his girls needed to know how to do guy jobs. I know how to use any tool you hand me, power or otherwise. I can fix the heater while hemming a skirt (by hand). I have trouble with cars, but thats because you get dirty when you get under the hood and i dont like that too much, but i do know enough to know when its time for me to head for the gagrage etc. I love to cook and clean so that goes without saying. But...i will do anything in the world not to have to iron stuff, and i hate folding wash. I do think it has to do with how you were raised my the way, not about being Dom or sub.

I do costuming myself, although my favorite part is doing the embellishments.

I would love having a business that yur friend does... If I had known you could go to school for theater costuming, I think I might have.
