Dollie Abatement Options??

It's been forever since I've been around the Bulletin Board. The project that drug me away is in the final throes, things have degenerated to the Cover-Your-Ass and Blame Assignment phase.

My internet accessible PC has been moved to a more public location. This creates a small problem because the Dollies are definitely NOT PC in my work environment.

I certainly DON'T want to eliminate the dollies. Some of them make really nice material for the imagination. (Mensa is that really you and are you really a mensa? I'd love to join your local chapter)

What I would like is the ability to turn off the dollies in my user preferences. Is this something that can be done??

yes, you can do it.

Click on control panel at the top of the page.

On next screen, click edit options.

On next screen scrool down and there is an option to turn avatars off. You may also need to turn off the pic's that get posted as those might get you caught rather quickly as well.

Oh yes you can, look up and see Control Panel, click it.

Go to Edit Options, click it.

Under Thread View Options you can shut off the avatars.

Lots of options, you can even shut off people.

Thanks for the pointers.

Had seen the Control Panel Option, but had never explored just what capabilities were hidden there.

So I no longer will have great streams of sweat streaming down my head and a sore neck from taking surreptious glances over my shoulder before clicking on a thread.

But, gotta admit I'm gonna miss some of those dollies. There are some very creative ones out there.

Don't forget to turn off sig lines and img. Some people are still in-fucking-credibly rude and put their stupid little dollies in their sig lines so you have to look at them if you're running signature lines. One of the rat bastards ocassionally will put a line at the end of a post and link a fucking stupid dollie with tags under it. Why? Because they want to piss me the fuck off. Well I'm here to tell you sunsabitches who do it that you're failing miserably.
