Here's one!!

A local business was looking for office help. They put a sign in the window, stating the following: "HELP WANTED. Must be able to type, must be good with a computer and must be bilingual. We are an Equal Opportunity Employer." A short time afterwards, a dog trotted up to the window, saw the sign and went inside. He looked at the receptionist and wagged his tail, then walked over to the sign, looked at it and whined. Getting the idea, the receptionist got the office manager. The office manager looked at the dog and was surprised, to say the least. However, the dog looked determined, so he lead him into the office. Inside, the dog jumped up on the chair and stared at the manager. The manager said "I can't hire you. The sign says you have to be able to type." The dog jumped down, went to the typewriter and proceeded to type out a perfect letter. He took out the page and trotted over to the manager and gave it to him, then jumped back on the chair. The manager was stunned, but then told the dog "the sign says you have to be good with a computer." The dog jumped down again and went to the computer. The dog proceeded to enter and execute a perfect program, that worked flawlessly the first time. By this time the manager was totally dumb-founded! He looked at the dog and said "I realize that you are a very intelligent dog and have some interesting abilities. However, I *still* can't give you the job." The dog jumped down and went to a copy of the sign and put his paw on the sentences that told about being an Equal Opportunity Employer. The manager said "yes, but the sign *also* says that you have to be bilingual." The dog looked at the manager calmly and said, "Meow!"

I just couldn't resist posting this:

Why Dogs are better than Women

Dogs don't cry.
Dogs love it when your friends come over.
Dogs don't care if you use their shampoo.
Dogs think you sing great.
A dog's time in the bathroom is confined to a quick drink.
Dogs don't expect you to call when you are running late.
The later you are, the more excited dogs are to see you.
Dogs will forgive you for playing with other dogs.
Dogs don't notice if you call them by another dog's name.
Dogs are excited by rough play.
Dogs don't mind if you give their offspring away.
Dogs understand that farts are funny.
Dogs love red meat.
Dogs can appreciate excessive body hair.
Anyone can get a good-looking dog.
If a dog is gorgeous, other dogs don't hate it.
Dogs don't shop.
Dogs like it when you leave lots of things on the floor.
A dog's disposition stays the same all month long.
Dogs never need to examine the relationship.
A dog's parents never visit.
Dogs love long car trips.
Dogs understand that instincts are better than asking for directions.

Funny how everydog I have turns out to be the best dog I ever had, until another one comes along!!

I've had dogs all of my life, I've had many cross-breeds, a corgi, a Pyranean, many Great Danes, now a GSD and Dobermann cross (as opposed to a cross Dobermann!) and have loved them all. At the time I have them I would always say that I will never have another because the one(s) I have is/are irreplaceable but, my life feels empty without a dog by my side. When my wife died, I would have commited suicide if I didn't have a dog beside me, comforting me and needing me as I needed him!! I still have Hector and will be totally devastated when his time comes!! :(

I am sorry about your wife :( and as for the dogs I know just what you mean,I have loved them all and had a wide range of them from toys to great dane...........and loved everyone of them! but the Akita ,I was told she wouldn't be good with kids or other animals! I have two children,a cat and a cocker span. she was great with all of them!
hmmm....now I miss her :(

Yeah, I have a theory that in the absence of inherited defficiencies, dogs will usually be ok if they are brought up correctly by people who show them kindness and teach them how to behave. Discipline is a neccessary part of any well mannered dogs life but, crulety doesn't have to be a part of discipline!

I did know a lady once though that had a beautiful Mastiff who was really soft and gentle. One day she wqent out of the house followed by the dog who then proceeded to savage a passer by for no reason! It turned out she had a brain tumour and was no longer responsible for her actions! (Bless her!) She was put down for her own comfort!

I saw this and immediately thought of your thread. Hope your doing well?
