Atlanta (CNN)Investigators are working with the idea that a suspect in the arson fire that burned down an Atlanta Wendy's restaurant may be linked to Rayshard Brooks, a source told CNN.

An arrest warrant has been issued for Natalie White for first-degree arson in the fire that took place as protests escalated last week after Brook's death, said Atlanta Fire Sgt. Cortez Stafford.

In bodycam video that police released last week, Brooks can be heard telling officers that White is his girlfriend

Police said a man and woman were attacked with rocks by a group of men gathered in front of the burned-out Wendy's restaurant in Atlanta where Rayshard Brooks was fatally shot by police, WSB-TV reported.

Ty Spiceland, 35, and a woman who didn't want to be identified were confronted by several people — some of whom were armed with handguns — on University Avenue around 1:30 p.m., the station said. Spiceland told WSB that members of the group punched him three times in the face when he rolled down his window and then threw rocks at his car.

In additional video from WSB reporter Matt Johnson, Spiceland also said he was told that white people aren't allowed on the road.

"Overall I absolutely agree with their side," he said. "All I wanted to do is just roll down the window and try and reason with the guy and say, 'Hey, we're not going to Wendy's, we're just passing through, we'll be gone in one second.' And he just didn't want to hear that or anything about that, he straight-up said, 'No white people are allowed on this road.'"

ATLANTA — People who live in the southwest Atlanta neighborhood where Rayshard Brooks was shot and killed want to know what’s next after armed protesters continue to block the intersection at University Avenue and Pryor Street.

It’s a community that witnessed another violent weekend. Two shootings resulted in injuries, including a woman hit by gunfire. A witness posted the frightening moments on Twitter.

"Sad situation someone today and yesterday at Wendy’s that is blocked off by armed young men with long guns and pistols. All businesses surrounding are boarded. The tension is in the air and emotions are raw. Police are not in sight. Is this Atlanta? No! We must rise up!” City Council President Felicia Moore said on Twitter Monday.

POLICE have arrested the girlfriend of Rayshard Brooks who is accused of setting fire to the Wendy's where her boyfriend was shot dad on June 12.

Natalie White, 29, who was caught on surveillance allegedly setting fire to the restaurant where Brooks died, was arrested on Tuesday.

The Fulton County Sheriff’s Office Fugitive Unit confirmed the arrest of White in a tweet.

The arrest came as Brooks’ family were grieving at his funeral in Atlanta, Georgia.
