As you all know, Dec the 25th is NOT Christmas. Not only does the Gregorian Calendar (the one we use today) not fit in too well with the Calendar in use around the time of Our Lords birth but, there is yet another reason.

Way back in time, when GD and Zuke were just school-boys together (and Tiggy's hadn't even been invented), religion was still trying to get a foot-hold. Most of the world, especially the British Isles, was Pagan.
In the middle-ish of Winter, there were loads of parties going on; Druids on the Winter Solstice, the Christians on another day (Zuke can probably remember which one .. ha haaaa) and of course the other factions on their days.
Now, the Christians were greatly outnumbered, as you know, so, they decided that since no-one wanted to come to their party, they would go to others.
One particular day saw the biggest turnout of the year so, the Romans, being in power at the time, decided that Christmas day would be that day also. This meant that just about everybody was celebrating the same day, seeeee??

Naturally, as Christianity grew and Paganism dropped off, that day became known as Christmas Day and when the Gregorian Calendar was drawn up, that day happened to fall on the 25th December.
It is quite likely that the REAL Christmas Day is in September or somewhen close.
