Does?

Can only speak for myself and I consider myself a fairly "true" masochist, I don't deny myself any pleasure from the pain I receive. I don't think I am capable of doing that since its an automatic response for me - feel pain/find pleasure. The only time I don't have that response is with emotional/psychological type pain and pain from say surgeries which honestly only causes a blip on the pain radar.

Sounds like the kind of question that can have you spinning in circles.

So if a true masochist does deny themselves the 'pleasure of pain', then why? Cause it would bring them pleasure? Then they aren't really denyng themselves the pleasure of pain, cause they get pleasure from denying themselve pain.

I'm sure you can see how this can keep circling in your head. Seems to me a good way to drive yourself mad.
