I know the answer to this question. Because certain animals have differant mental cppacity due to the sixe of their brains they cannot see 2d objects like tv its a rare few that can. Fuck I actually was awake for at least one biology class.
My dogs have never responded visually to the TV, but they often respond to sounds coming from it. Awhile ago there was this Domino's commercial where a doorbell would ring. Our dogs would get up and run to the door expectantly every...single...time.
And you know that show "Emergency Vets" on Animal Planet? They'll cock their heads and listen very carefully to the dogs, and sometimes they'll bark. And onetime, we were watching a documentary about greyhounds on the track, and both dogs (retired racing greyhounds) got very upset and started whining and crying. We had to turn the TV off.
My cat however is too much of a bitch and too human to sit and watch TV. Don't you just hate it when they give that, "What the fuck do you think your doing?'" look?
but i just Know my cats log on to my comp and surf the net when i'm at work...
there's always one of them sitting in the window when i get home and they jump down as soon as i get out of the truck (to watn the other one...... i'm Sure of it)
