No, this isn't one of those threads where you get it analysed, its more like a chance for us to embarrass ourselves by publicly sharing our handwriting.

I'm renowned for how bad my writing is, especially when I write in a hurry, and have always been asked to type out any and all telephone messages.

At the same time, its fun to see other people's writing, and see if it matches up to your impression of the author.

We've had audio threads, video threads, pictures of where we live, pictures of parts of our bodies.....now I'm going to start the ball rolling, as it were, by posting a sample of my hand writing. I just wrote something silly, and scanned it. Hope some of you decided to play.

My hand writing is so bad I have to print it if I want others to understand it.

I'm finding it hard to do this without analysing it :)

I think it's very 'you', with a little less self-control. Probably the side of you that Mindy gets to see ;)

I love to write......here's mine!

I must have missed that thread.........I don't remember it at all.

What handwriting?

After years of keyboard use, my handwriting has deteriorated so badly, even I can't read some of the notes I take in meetings. (Good doodles, though, particularly my mazes) Using e-mail as a lazy substitute for birthday cards, invitations etc. was a killing blow.

I used to have a delicate signature, redolent of optimism. These days, you could forge my signature on a check by making one fast left-to-right swipe just above the line, almost flat but curling up a bit at the end. Like a drunken check mark that's fallen on its face and is trying to right itself. Piece of cake. Lucky for me, no forger worth his salt would bother.

Hardly - you have a great style - in fact I write like you - with a few sweeping letters here and there and a bit more upright, but cool style girl!

Right back atcha, Charley girl.

I've been able to read'em all and they're lovely

I shall take a pic of my scrawl (no scanner) tommorrow. I learnt a trick the other day, if you put something black below the paper you'v written on, you can see the writing on the page much easier.

My handwriting sucks though, I blame it on being left handed :D

Is it an ego thing, do you think, that we all make the warning that our writing is bad........

I showed mine to the wife, and got told off!!

"That's not how you usually write."

Huh??

"All those flowers and squiggles and things."

OK, so I wouldn't normally do that, it was just to liven up the page. I write very quickly, trying to get my hand to keep up with my head, which is why my writing is so bad, I guess. When I have to write by hand, I have to force myself to slow down, to write slowly, but eventually, no matter how slowly and carefully I start off, the speed increases and the legibility goes out of the window.
